Is not 360, you'll get errors about front collision assist off and in my case blue cruise cuts out randomly.
any idea what this costs outside of warranty?

i was just in the same boat more or less.

in general, i don't usually buy extended warranties, but had just gone through a HVBJ replacement under warranty (this was a few months before the recall) so thought getting an extended warranty might be good, not being 100% sure it would be part of the battery/powertrain warranty. now that the recall is in place, i think it's safe to not have to worry about out of pocket costs for that issue.

but mine being job 1, i felt the cost of the warranty ($1500) wasn't exhorbitant compared to the potential of a LCD monitor or some other component/harness, fancy headlight bulbs, etc, that could potentially need replacing in the next 6-7 years.

like many here, i got my ford premiumcare extended warranty online (granger ford).

if it was a gen 2 or 3 car (kinks worked out), i would probably skip it, since in general i do feel EVs are more reliable than ICE. mechanical things like CV axles, etc do eventually wear out in any car and are usually not super expensive (especially from an independent mechanic) to make a warranty worth it.

I got my 2022 Mach-E Select in May of 2022. I just got the warranty it came with. I believe it’s 3yr/36k bumper to bumper and 5yr/60k powertrain. I am now at 28k miles and I wonder if it’s worth seeing if I should extend my warranty to the bumper to bumper 5yr/60k? I believe in California the battery is already covered for 8yr/100k miles but I’m wondering if any other major repairs could occur in the future that won’t be covered with the warranty I have now? Any thoughts? Thanks.

So I've bought probably 25 cars over the decades. I've never purchased an extended warranty, however, when the ford esp only ended up costing me around $1200 I opted to get it. and had it transferred over to my GT this past September when I traded my 21. Statistically I think very little chance I'll need it. BUT just the thought of a failed sync 4 screen or other similar components I figured just to be on the safe side. Now had the warranty ended up being $3-4k like was originally quoted, most def wouldn't have got it. But I showed the finance guy at the dealership the quote from Flood ford and he immediately dropped the price.

Is it best to go with a factory Ford extended warranty if I am at 28k miles on my 2022 Mach-E or is there an aftermarket warranty that is reliable and better priced? I looked up FloodFord but they don’t cover California.

I see you are in LA. How did you get it from Granger if you are in California? Of course, "LA" might mean Louisiana. Curious as I am in Cali and want to look into this for my Mach E.

California passed a law preventing you from buying discounted car warranties. Florida has had a similar law for years. In short, you're screwed on price.

Extended warranties are strongly discouraged by many. Third party warranties are for people who like to throw money away. Really bad idea.
