When does the delivered email get sent?

Does anyone know when the email goes out that your car is delivered? Is it when the truck unloads it or when the dealership scans it in?

I am asking to know if the car gets delivered on a day or hour that the dealership is closed, will my tracker and email notice change when it gets unloaded or when the dealership opens back up and scans it in.

Yep, that is the one I am talking about.
Wondering when I should drive by the dealer during off hours to see if it was delivered but if the email comes from unloading the truck, no need until the email comes. If it is when the dealer scans it then it could be on the lot but no email until they open for business.

In my experience, neither of those two events triggered the email - it came before unloading at the dealership. Perhaps when it was dispatched from the rail yard on the delivery truck. It may not be worthwhile to make any kind of a trip to check out the dealer lot until you have some indication delivery has been made.

I never got an email. The only email I got was an email on the production date. I had to track it on Palsapp and then got a call from the dealership the day before delivery.

I got a call from my dealer around 3:30pm a week ago today. Just over 2 hours later, I got the email telling me to complete the purchase.

I'll try and remember to ask the dealer tonight. Got my email last night and when I called the dealer they said it was dropped off but they didn't touch it yet. So the email went out before the dealer does their checklist.

Given the timing and what some have said about knowing their car was delivered before their dealer knew, I suspected the trucking company actually triggered the email.

Just asked and she said its done by the tracking company through ford's email service.
