Mine is gonna move from the “very soon” compartment of my brain to the “someday” box.

Many people also have Tesla destination charger adapters. None of the supercharger adapters, including the one you’re getting for free, will work with destination chargers.
Yes, VERY important to note that. The Supercharger adapter is missing the AC pins to work with the Destination Chargers (thanks to Patrick at Mach-E Vlog for pointing this out in their YouTube coverage today)

I have no idea what a destination charger is, every road trip I’ve taken I’ve never used anything other than EA. So the new Tesla adapter may come in handy someday but that’s all I can ever see myself needing. YMMV.

A destination charger is one at someplace like a hotel (the destination) where you can plug in overnight so that the next morning your car is full and ready to go. This adapter is for the places that have Tesla destination chargers as opposed to the J1772 chargers.

Adapters? The only one I intend to own is the upcoming Tesla charging adapter. What other adapters do people need?
I use the Tesla tap for Tesla destination chargers. Lots of them at hotels, golf courses & other venues

Destination charger = NACS Level 1 or 2 (AC)
Supercharger = NACS Level 3 (DC)

In the trunk, under the floor, next to the mobile charger. The existing TeslaTap will likely get “kicked to the curb” if there’s not space for it and the new adapter.
Caveat: when traveling, it will move to an easily accessible location - probably the cubby on the side in the trunk, or one of the door pockets in the back seat.

Just keep in mind the adapter Ford is giving us won’t take the place of the Tesla tap you have.

Better to have it and not need it than the other way around ?
Yep, and I will also have a SuperCharger adapter and probably not need it. ??

I keep my Tesla Tap destination adapter in the trunk, but the NEMA 14 50 to old style outlet in the frunk. Its good to be prepared, but I have never used either! Probably the new Super Charger adapter will also go in the frunk.

I marked both Frunk and Center Console under the phone charger. My NACS-to-J1772 for Tesla destination chargers doesn't get used frequently, so its typical home is the frunk. When I used it for a couple of nights in a row on a recent road trip, I kept it under the phone charger when it wasn't in use. I don't anticipate using the NACS-to-CCS frequently once I have it, so I'll probably do the same thing with that.
