What about the frunk button? I edited my last post.
Oh no...We are on the cusp of witnessing the end of the longest running meme on this forum. The membership awaits the outcome of this dealer visit with great anticipation!

It's probably worth it if they imply that they don't know what you're talking about. That routine takes seconds to run.
I couldn’t reach anyone in service so I left a detailed voice mail. Fingers crossed ?! Otherwise, I’ll have to research the applicable TSBs and SSMs for the modules ?

As do I ? remember though, I won’t claim complete success until the frunk button lights up in FordPass ?

Well, the BCM and GFM are already done, so you'll have frunk access from the keypad at a minimum. If you feel like buying a fob with a frunk button, you'll have that access too.

I’m actually thinking of that but I don’t want a fob with a tailgate icon (I’m a bit OCD) I want one with a hatch icon. I also want one with a Mustang on the rear - not a blue oval.

The definition of "all updates done" varies widely between customers and dealerships. I'm looking at a Lightning right now, and I've put in my requirements to the dealerships I'm talking to "update all modules until FDRS shows no updates pending".

I actually bought one that was completely done as you are hoping for on ebay, paid $123 and worked perfectly first try

That's not a problem. Mine is exactly as you describe.

I'm very curious about the pieces they replace in the rear. I figure I'm doomed to get that as well and need the rear sway bar to not be the reason they blame me if possible.

If you do get a working frunk button on the screen, I’ll take the baton and carry on with the vocal complaints. Wife’s car STILL has no frunk button despite spending 2 months at the dealer.

Maybe email them the pic?

Ok, here’s the update
TL;DR frunk now opens from door pillar and Sync screen. No other modules updated because Lincoln advised that modules are only updated in response to a specific issue brought forth by customer and able to be duplicated at dealer. The R/F (right front?) axle shaft was replaced.

Wordy version: They called mid-morning to tell me they could drop off my car or I could pick it up. I decided to print out the list of modules to be updated and procedure to enable the remote frunk release and go over to pick up the car. The service manager I was working with is the Lincoln Service Manager, who was just helping the Ford guys out (it’s a Ford - Lincoln dealer). Anyway, I showed him the list of modules to be updated (many thanks to @Mach-Lee !) and the procedure to enable the soft button on the screen. He wasn’t familiar with what I was showing him and went to get the tech who worked on my car. In the meantime, I went over to my car and verified that the frunk releases worked via 7/8 and it did (although it tried to release the frunk multiple times, which was odd). The service writer said I could leave the car and they’d run the procedure and look into the updates. He was very curious as to how I came across the list of updates and said I shouldn’t be entering my VIN into unknown websites. I explained yo him that there is a community of Mustang Mach e enthusiasts and some have purchased licenses for FDRS and are able to look up updates for other users. He still sounded skeptical and I assured him it was FDRS from ford and that people got it from Rotunda (I forget which website people are actually buying FDRS licenses from but I wanted to use words he’s recognize). A few hours later he calls me back and tells me my car is ready and they can drop it off, or I can pick it up. He was also apologetic about not being able to do the other module updates. He explained that he checked with his Lincoln contact (remember, he’s Lincoln service) and they advised that updates are only to be performed in response to a specific customer complaint that can be duplicated and where the corrective procedure is to apply the update. I get it. It’s not the answer we WANT to hear, but I understand the answer and rationale. It would be nice if Ford would offer a “the works” for module updates, but oh well.
So, I can open my frunk from the pillar and from the touchscreen. I’d say I’m 99% of the way there. Not done though! Everyone will recall that I’ve always complained about the lack of a remote frunk release. Until I can open my frunk from FordPass, I won’t be totally happy ???? yes, I know about the fob workaround and will certainly explore it, but I don’t carry keys and don’t want to start, just to open the funk ?
