Why no love for Telos? Right now, the Slate seems to be the darling of the moment that all the bloggers (and the “Administrator”) are fawning over. The Telos seems really interesting and innovative.

I prefer the Telo truck over the Slate because it is a very efficient use of space. I mean you can have an 8' bed with a truck the overall length of a mini cooper? Amazing.

I can answer part of that.

The Administrator is fawning over it because the company that owns the forum also has a Slate forum, but no Telos forum.

It’s got some pretty good numbers. A little quirky looking but it has some serious utility. $41-46k. It scoots too..

I always have a mental picture of the Administrator as the “Manager” in squid game. Wearing a fractal mask and watching all the chaos from a control room ?

They want the entry level cost to be about $21K and to go up to about $50K

Just saw Jay Leno do a test drive of the demo Telo today. Looks interesting. Seems that they are not planning full large scale build up. They plan to start small and slowly build. Mostly off the shelf parts. Looks interesting to me. Just another one to keep an eye on. Not sure I like the style though, but lots of good use of space.

Maybe because the slate is “new news” and backed by mega-billionaire billionaire Jeff Bezos.

The Telo is “last months news” and backed so far by…… $5 million from investors.

And $5 mill? That ain’t gonna be enough.

The design is interesting. We shall see if it can pass crash tests and if it’ll ever make it to market.

Currently? My bet is “no” and “no,” but I reserve the right to be wrong.

I am one of these people who always roots for the underdog. To be honest though, I’m
Not the demographic for either vehicle.

Me neither. I don’t plan on investing in either as well.

I do like that at least they’re bringing something unique to the table. Unlike Fisker who thought that another midsize, mid priced EV SUV was the right call.

I would love to see a startup brave enough to beat the big manufacturers to market with a 2 seat sports coupe and convertible.

People would be way more likely to throw play money at a weekend performance toy from a startup company than trust their hard earned money on their daily driver.
