Hi all,

I'm having my MME parked in a parking garage at level -1. There is hardly a cell-tower connection possible there. But I have my MME connected to my house Wifi. Though it tells me the connection is good it seems fordpass and the MME are not communicating once I lock the car. When charging the MME in the garage the Fordpass almost never has up to date info or does not even show the car is charging. Also the scheduled charging does not work correctly. I set it to charge to 80% (besides the point if this is needed or not) but I guess because it can not assess the location it always charges to 100%.

Anyone else having these experiences? I'm wondering if the MME is simply not communicating all info trough Wifi like it does with cellular data or that maybe the connection to my wifi is simply just not as good as I think. In open air parking I do not have these issues. Well of course the normal instable "beta" fordpass issues most of us have ...

Yes. I believe this is expected behavior. If you want fordpass to update, you can send a unlock and lock command it will update everything with that. Just doing a pull down to refresh doesn't always wake the car up. And the car stays asleep to save 12v battery. It does wake up for a few seconds to check in but doesn't stay online long.

You have to setup your home location, then setup the charging hours, and a charging limit. If you pick "charge anytime" then it will ignore the limit.

Thanks for your reply. Ok so in terms of connectivity it handles its tasks different on cellular connection then on Wifi. That is good to know. But I also tested locking the car from the app and then refresh but no luck. I still get the latest data is from yesterday which is the time when I parked the car...

Thanks for your reaction. Indeed I'm aware of this way of setting it up but because it can not assess the location correctly (because its a parking garage with no reception) it often thinks its not on the home charge and charges to 100% anyway. Or is there an other way to "tell" the car its in its home location?

The last two days my fordpass app has not been refreshing data consistently. Some things might update but others don't at all. Not sure if it is the new version of fordpass that installed yesteday, or the fact I just swapped cars and the new one isn't fully in my name on Ford's side. Or what is going on.

I know of no way to tell the vehicle it is "home", if it is not determining that on its own. Puzzling that with a good WiFi connection it is not determining that. What happens when you use FordPass to find the location, does it not show it at home?

I believe you could set all charging to 80%, and then no matter where it thinks it is, it would stop. Then, if you're not home and want to charge to 100%, you'd have to change that first. Can't look on FordPass right now because waiting for the next version since mine was locked up and got uninstalled yesterday.

From my knowledge you have to set a location in order to set the maximum charge limit. But if you know how to set a general max, please let me know. My Fordpass is completely messed up. This morning plugged in the charger. In fordpass first nothing was shown, like it was not charging. Then for hours the status was "charging paused". The I got several messages "planned charging did not started" but I have nothing in the schedule and in car display simply states it is charging. Then finally it shows "charging" but at a level of several hours ago. So 41% instead of 72%. I want into the car with my phone and jep, fordpass got updated. When bad inside and after some tome the app tells me the chared status us 42%, then 52 the back at 41 again. WHat@!#!! Its so random its completely useless
