I hope so. The Mach-e display is my least favorite thing about the vehicle. The instrumentation display is too small and the info display is too big. And the info screen is oriented the wrong way, should be horizontal instead of vertical.

and... the instruments don't show the sensors I want to see!
...could be fixed if AndroidAuto would allow the CarScanner App to display on the big screen

And chevy, nissan, bmw....there are a lot coming out with this design. Most likely ford will adapt. They benchmarked the Model Y initially and you can see in many ways they went with a similar simplistic design. Now that more manufacturers are in the game, the big boys that have been making cars a lot longer start setting the true benchmark and Ford will keep up with them now.

Hope they don't use Tesla as a benchmark. Remember it's a Mustang. Not a fan of minimalist design. Use Audi, or maybe EV6 as an example.

They already did. Future revisions will have many other vehicles to benchmark against.

I really like the vertical display because of the huge CarPlay mode, at least we can move the AC vents without using the screen.

Couldn’t agree more. I love this new ice mustang interior - it’s similar to the bmw i4 which feels amazing to sit in. I want this in the MME.

I'm good with the vertical display. However, the User Interface sucks. I spent time driving my buddies Tesla, and the User Interface is MUCH better.

AND, in the Tesla when you are done driving, it gives you an icon on the display to open the rear lift gate (which makes sense, as you are stopped). In the Mustang I have to go down 2 levels of menus to do this.

Hard disagree on vertical being better, especially talking about the F-150 Lightning. The horizontal mount is infinitely better, at least on the F-150, because you get physical radio and HVAC controls under the screen, instead of the lower half of the screen mainly just being HVAC and radio controls, and you have to look at them to operate.

Horizontal is better in almost every instance, especially if they give you physical controls. The vertical screen is the worst part of the Mach-E and upper trim Lightning. Large screen with an orientation that makes you look down is just bad.

I like the vertical screen better. People like different things. That's just the way it is.

I don't care horizontal or vertical, as long as it works and doesn't go black.

I DO wish we had more/different data displayed though. Things like actual power output/regen, and some key temps such as the charge connectors, and actual battery energy remaining in kWhr instead of or in addition to the GOM range estimate

The instrument cluster is mounted too high in the MME. I can’t see a good 30% or more of the screen in normal driving position because the steering wheel blocks it. ?‍?

You know the steering wheel is adjustable, right? Or are you exceptionally tall?

Yes, I know the steering column is adjustable. The pitch of the wheel at its lowest point is a little uncomfortable for me, impossible at any higher setting. In order for me to make it work properly, I need to change the forward mounting point of the column, which opens up a can of worms on how to properly mate the column with the rack. ??
