(Don't shout that I have not extensively combed other threads).

The wireless charging is extremely hit and miss - more miss. On two phones (Samsung S24 Ultra and iPhone 16 Pro Max) it is very finicky:

> It will start to charge, then just stop
> It won't charge
> It won't charge until you lift and move it a little (this is what I end up doing the most)

I've also found, charging works more consistently (on iPhone at least) when the phone is placed on the charger with the bottom facing the front of the car.

I know I can plug it in, but that defeats the idea. I am open to the fact I'm an idiot and not doing something right.

TIA

Others have suggested this one - I picked it up recently when on sale for like $70. A bit too early to say how well it holds up... since getting, i find myself leaving phone in pocket all the time due to relatively short drives going on as of late. I just have an iphone 14 - not sure if ur 16 max will need better. I have noticed the magsafe is not that strong with my magsafe case on it but has been good enough to hold in position the few times tested

I just got a MagSafe and put it down there. Some people have other 3D printed holders to integrate it better, might do that eventually.

I’ve had this one for about a month. Works every time! (iPhone 15 Pro Max). Added bonus - it charges 2 phones - not just one.

I had similar issues in my '23 GT, I
Ford Mustang Mach-E Wireless Phone Charging "Issues" charging pad
Ford Mustang Mach-E Wireless Phone Charging "Issues" charging 2 pad
installed this replacement charger from Amazon, 3 weeks and very satisfied, it does use the USB-C port but I have found it to be worth it.

Do not use a phone case if you want to wireless charge. Supposedly, that may cause issues.

I've used this for over a year. Works really well, no problems.

The pad has many problems, one of which is overheating.
Why not use the USB port and charge the phone while using it for carplay.
Sometimes the easiest solution is the best.
