Hi.

I'm a '21 MME owner for 2 months, now. Very happy with the car, besides intermittent BLIS error (code - B159C). But today, while cleaning the car, I noticed something strange - two twisted wires (looks like a CANbus or some sort of communications line) just dangling unprotected inside the front door jam. These wires clearly are not supposed to be there unprotected and rubbing against metal. Does anyone know what are these, and what is their correct location?
Unfortunately looks like someone has been there and done some poor quality job :(

Nevermind... It looks like all MMEs have those.
Sorry, I didn't find anything before posting, but multiple threads popped up under similar threads after I made the post.
Anyway, it is a very strange design by Ford.

Mine must have fallen out.

No ill effects without them, 2023 Premium.

Actually, they're supposed to be hidden behind the sound/wind insulation piece. It seems that they often work themselves loose and become visible. ?‍♂?

And just to mention in this thread the purpose of those wires…. they are the antenna for the keyless entry system. One set on each side running from front to rear.

I stopped by the repair shop this morning and took some photos of my car with the damaged sheet metal removed. Those wires are visible up until they duck under a brace of some kind.
