I visited Disneyland Hong Kong once when our airplane was hard broke for 3 days. After years of flying over it and driving past it going to the “new” Hong Kong airport it seemed appropriate. I stopped revving the jets engines when I flew over it after that (it’s fairly close to the airport). Just kidding, I didn’t stop revving engines at all. :p
Cool! You flew into Kai Tak? I never had the chance - my parents did though. My dad enjoyed the approach. My mother was just busy trying to not look out the window and drained her stash of “minis” ?

I bet we have more Mach-E’s here in the greater Detroit area than California has.
I did see a lot of Mustang Mach-Es when I was there last year. I also saw a ton of F-150s - parked on every paved surface possible in Dearborn!

To be fair, I checked out the fordevclubs website that was suggested earlier. It turns out that they did have an event in Orlando. Sadly, it’s past though. I would have gone had I known.

I couldn’t believe how many Mach E’s I saw the last time I went to Florida and Disney World. 2023… I saw them everywhere.

I really want to go to Disneyland Paris, and DisneySea Tokyo.
Done Paris twice now. in fact, we were there just a couple of days ago. Daughter has done Tokyo and we want to do it as well.

My first real landing ever in an MD-11 was at Kai Tak. Yes, we only land the simulator in training. We did the IGS to runway 13 approach, which had you fly directly at an apartment building with a checkboard on top while descending. You then make a 45-degree turn while continuing to descend, line up with the runway centerline, roll your wings level, and land. All about that fast, too. With a crosswind. Loads of fun, when the weather was good. We were also close to max landing weight in the Mad Dog (481,500 lbs), so probably all at 160+ knots (184 mph). My last flight in there was a couple of days before it closed. We did the Stone Cutter approach that time — in like a lion, out like a lamb. :)

The most fun approach to fly as a passenger? Paro, Bhutan. That's a hoot (as a passenger). Those are the Himlaya's towering above the aircraft while they're descending down meandering valleys in an Airbus.

Both Paro & Lukla are on my bucket list!

Would you believe that they’ve redeveloped Kai tak into 3 shopping malls?!
