Very happy with my 2022 GTPE, and will keep it for many years, until someone delivers:

significantly quicker time-to-charge (800V?)
a smaller, lighter more sporty choice (the MME is the largest car I've ever owned).
or
the MME develops significant issues, is less reliable, or I have more signifcant dealer issues.

BlueCruise has no impact on my decision.

Well, I don't even have my first one yet!

That aside, the car I'm currently driving I've had since March 2012. I expect I'll have this one nearly as long. I watched all the technology pass me by since 2012 and some of it would have been pretty nice to have, but I was fine. I'm sure I'll have the same experience with this car, too. We'll see what cars are like in the '30s, which will likely be the next time I'm in the market for one. One thing is certain - NO self-driving cars for me!

I am strongly considering the Blazer SS when it comes out. Thought about trading in the Buick for it, but then I'd lose my 'long range' driving vehicle. I don't drive far often but when I do I have no desire to stop for more than 5-10 minutes. So I think it will a while before I ever (if ever) completely move away from ICE.

I'm super happy with my Job 1 ER RWD, except for:
1) DCFC speed
2) Ride quality
3) 0-60 times

The last two I'm not super sad about, but really wish DCFC would be improved.

I'm happy with:
1) The looks, both interior and exterior
2) Cabin comfort in terms of space and design (we have "oh shit" handles for all four seats, and a center console that isn't ridiculously compartmentalized and easy to access)
3) BlueCruise performance, if they don't actually jack up the price
4) Price-performance ratio (at least at the original MSRP)

So my next car will be whichever fixes all of my current gripes about the car. I don't give a rat's behind about dealerships, etc - as far as I'm concerned, they're all idiots, especially for software-related things. I'm also not in the market for German cars (too $$$ for me; yes the i4 is about the same price as the MME but it's smaller), so I guess I will never know what "luxury service" feels like.

I'm also used to Ford's stupidity - I've been (suffered?) through the 2012 Focus, 2013 Fusion 2.0T, and a C-Max Energi. They've all been great cars, let down by one significant flaw (transmission, transmission, tiny battery/compromised trunk respectively), so I guess I'm okay with almost-perfect-but-not-quite products from Ford ?.

I dont know what EV I will buy next. After having 2 Ford Mach E's and watching what is going on with Ford. Well, I am not sure it will be a Ford. I still follow the threads here. Read the comments. Seems many are shying away from Ford.
This Forum is not a representative sample of MME owners. There will always be an outsized number of complaints in an enthusiast's forum as compared to the average MME owner. Whatever that average owner is, outside of a relative few, they generally do not reside here.

I usually keep my cars for a long time and at 73 it is likely the Mach-e will be the last car I buy. I have only used BC 4 times in the 8 months I have owned the Mach-e and probably will not use it again so I would not extend any existing subscription.

I use the BC 3 days/week for my 6 mile commute of which 3 miles are highway and it tells me to take control most of the time ?

I did a long trip ~1400 miles in 7 days and two days later the car had an issue and has been at the dealer for the last 3 weeks. ETA fix in June 23.

Bought the car last week of November 22. So not a great track record for the EV so far. I would have been happier with a hybrid Electric.

All of our plans of driving around this summer are now up in the air.

I doubt if we will be able to charge these batteries for the next 10 years!

Same here. Hoping the one I currently am waiting for gets delayed by a month, so I can get resolution with the car it may be replacing first. I see no reason to get rid of a car because of the price of a subscription service. Just get rid of the service. BlueCruise 1.2 may be nice, but I can keep hands on the wheel without it, and I hate car shopping enough to want to just get the car that I will drive for the next 10-12 years and be done.

And a car company that suddenly decides to no longer include ultrasonic sensors, before the vision based replacement was fully adequate replacement... That makes me far more leery than a company overvaluing an optional service.

Here is what I would like from my next EV- no drama- software that works and if it needs to get fixed the fix doesn’t break other things.

I know I am dreaming
It's software. It'll never be mostly what any one person wants. It's trying to satisfy the world for as cheap as possible with as many copy and paste features from StackOverflow as possible. Wait till it goes open source. It doesn't mean it'll be better, it means it'll have more people asking for more things in different ways.
That's part of the drive for the Unreal Engine. It's so open anyone and everyone can become a developer. This allows Mike the Manager to change a button color because he wife liked it. Just look at Roblox and it's millions of shovleware games and 8 that are great.

I doubt if we will be able to charge these batteries for the next 10 years!
I have a 11 year old FFE. It charges just fine. Electrons in is all that's really needed for that simplistic workflow.

My first car was a '63 F100 Ford Pickup, no it wasn't new... Never needed to go to Ford for fixes/oil changes etc. Did them myself.

This is my Second Ford, and will be my last. Ford's dealership/service is abysmal. Took over 3 months to troubleshoot the Coax issue after a windshield/pano recall but only after I showed them the thread here about it. Went to 5 different dealers in my area! When I got hit by it, it was end of Oct and the thread had been talking about it since the year before! Why didn't the other service/dealers/FoMoCo talk to each other about this? Finally there is an FSB? re this issue. And at first Ford/Dealer was like, well, you got the recall done at dealer X so *I* Might have to foot the bill because I went to dealer Y with the Coax issue. WTF Ford? It's all Warranty who cares who fixes it?

I have to go to Ford wait in the showroom ALL day because even though the service manual says 'this will take 4 days' they don't arrange a loaner until just before they close. Stupid, stupid, stupid. Granger ESP I just bought has the 1st day loaner option.

The Screen issue I had less than 200 miles in, no one seemed to know and they blamed my DashCam, however, I didn't install it until after the first two glitches happened so to me, that's not the answer, but I plugged the cam into the 12v in the console and they [ x ] it's done! But once in a while, I still get a glitch.

And on and on. I hate, absolutely hate going to Ford service, they are rude, they don't care (I have 5 or 6 in the area I can go to). They replaced the tire and when the put the hubcap back on, they didn't even put the valve in the cut-out for it.
needed the passenger side window switch replaced and they installed the wrong one, so for a month if you lifted to close, it would stick.

This is my third BEV and all three were 'first editions' the other dealers seemed genuine with their help/service, I never felt like a second class citizen and they always took my car in when they said they would. I have a 'Appointment' with Ford, and I've been told, "oh, that's just to get you in". I went to one of the dealers with a 09:00 am time and didn't get 'served' until 14:30. WTF Ford? what's the point of appointments? The others make an appointment for 08:00, you get there at 07:45, your car is in the rack at 08:00 or sooner. Says your service is at least 2 days? here's your loaner.

There's more, but this is enough. The Blue Cruise? I'd like to use it, my eyes are getting dim, and the extra assistance would help, but they nix'd it the day I went in to get the 1.2 update "Oh sorry, Ford just canceled that for Job 1 '21s. See me next year... Would probably have paid the $200 per year for that if it really works (1.2) but in 1.0 condition, I have to pay way more attention than if I just drove it. Ping Pong, sliding next to the big trucks (oh we fixed that in 1.2, but you can't have it, sorrrrry)

Not gonna be a Ford again, we keep our cars for 5+ years, but if something good comes along (3rd gen'ish) we'll strongly consider.

But not a Ford...

I want...

Bronco EV
Beetle or MINI EV with 150-200 miles of range.

For cars that exist - Rivian R1S or Lyriq.

The Mach-E is jack of all trades, master of none. It definitely needs to move to 800V to be considered a performance EV. I personally would not buy another GT/GTPE until they do.

Same. I bought 2 MMEs and *tried* to buy a Lightning but Ford managed to prevent me from doing so. Bought a Rivian instead. Rivian isn’t perfect either, of course, but I would still have a Ford in my driveway if they could just stop with the nonsense. It’s amazing how far Rivian has come in its first year of producing consumer vehicles. Those early ones had so many more issues than new ones rolling off the line.

With the laughable price of $800 for BC. What will be your next EV after your 3 years trail expires? I predict in 3 years when there's new technology, with longer battery range, quicker charge, better self driving, ect... And over price BC people will be trading in their Mach-E for new EV. But I don't think they will be Ford after screwing the price.
the EV blazer without a doubt. There is zero chance I’m paying for blue cruise but I’m more interested in the look of a car over the functions.

Is the efficiency still the same? I have Lexus Hybrids from 2008, they both use NiMH, haven't observed degradation. Not sure how Lithium ones will hold up!

It's too hard to tell with the short range and total change in weather daily. It's only a 32kw battery I should hook it up to Forscan and try to find the PID for it's health.
