Have some sympathy, fellow Machster, nobody loves us anymore, even the US aren’t our special friend anymore because we screwed up Ireland and aren’t part of a bigger club, Nissan & Honda closed manufacturing plants as we’re no longer a European base for them, Toyota continue to threaten us, other businesses are leaving I mean, who saw that coming ?‍♂ Were hoping to get a new friend on the rebound, so we’ll take anybody - anybody got Vlad the invader’s number?
We have always been allied with Airstrip One.

Next EV - well, might be a Cybertruk -been ordered for 4 or 5 years - who's counting? I do love my Mach E CR1 - charge it once a month! Hope it last until Elon sends me my keys.

I plan to keep it for at least 8 years when the extended warranty runs out. Will consider upgrading for something newer that has a longer range and faster charging. All of us pay for various subscription based service so I will pay for BC it if it is reasonable. Maybe Android auto will have a cheaper self driving option in the future that will work with MME.

When I first saw it, the CT was so hideous. But it has definitely grown on me, and now I actually like the way it looks. The key will be the performance of the vehicle. Will it be ground breaking, or a minor improvement over what is currently in the market?

My next car: no idea - might be a Ford - we don't have BC - so that's not any argument against - BOCN - will not pay for the service in it's current state (useless) - we're almost a year behind in OTA - witch is kinda frustrating.
Can tell what it isn't going to be:
Tesla (unless they change the philosophy of the car)
Hyundai (Unless they get another local dealer)
KIA (same as Hyundai)
Any German car (unless they start advertising complete cars - (Ohh you wanted head lights? That's a service for $100/mo or you can buy it for $5000))
Toyota - I'm old, but not that old

But owning the MME (2x) hasn't put me off Ford - and I don't have a plan to sell them before anything better come along.
I hope they up their OTA game - but fear that they will be in a fragmented hell of maintaining an increasing number of variants that is unsustainable in a short while - they are don't look like they have designed the software for a sustainable development life.
Yeah, the software is the key. Car companies better have whole new divisions of computer geeks who are experienced in automobiles. That’s a great job for future grads! It’s not your old car technology anymore - it’s a giant computer with seats on wheels.

I live on a ranch. I need a proper sized bed to haul gravel, dirt, hay, bags of sh*t (literally), etc. Rivian’s beds are too small (and they’re neither sold nor maintained here).
I was implying that you pack too many bags when you travel and saying that I'm currently on your island and I only had a single carry-on.

Used to have to pack a suitcase I could live out of for 15 days or until I got somewhere I could get laundry done at less than extortion fees plus a bag jammed with navigation charts and aircraft manuals plus another bag with my stuff in it (laptop or tablet, kindle etc). These days I FedEx my bag to and from destination. Seriously.

What part of the island are you on?

I'm actually surprised that I've seen more MMEs than I have Tesla's. I did see a blue MME but I think it was vapor blue.

We leave for Kauai Wednesday, but thanks for the offer.

I might get a plug-in hybrid, unless they can produce an EV that gets 350+ miles in the winter.

Hey just noticed you have the Infinite Blue Premium as well. I think that color must be pretty rare - I’ve never seen another one.

The color was discontinued on the Mach-e about halfway through the 2021 model year. At the time it was quite popular. About 12 or do infinite blue MMEs were delivered here.

Year one the local dealer sold about 25 MMEs. Year two almost doubled that. Plus the mainland and Oahu purchases.

Have fun on Kauai. :)

My next car might be ICE. I have the itch to build another Pontiac. Depends on whether I can afford another Firebird or GTO. ?‍♂?
