Mine was already a 22 year build. This is my way of fingers crossed for it being something positive as far as moving production along for all of us.
Ford divides their model years into "Jobs" Job 1 are the cars produced in the first half of the model year, job 2 are the cars produced in the second half. If you look at the forum, most of the people who got Job 1 MY21 cars last year have vastly different experiences than Job 2 cars as most of them still dont have bluecruise yet.
Do we know when MY22 Job 2 starts? I know it was July for the 2021s. Doesn't sound like anyone is scheduled for May yet, so maybe Job 2 starts a little earlier this year? If it starts in July again and your theory is true, that puts 10/1 orders like myself at a 10-11 month wait from order to delivery. I know this is getting more common with the chip issues recently intensifying again but I'm starting to wonder why I ever ordered in the first place. It seems half of people end up bailing on their orders and instead find something on a lot anyway (usually other people's abandoned orders lol).
Seems like a pretty good guess. I don't think anybody with an April build date has admitted to have gotten the email. I certainly didn't (scheduled for week of April 4)
Thanks, I didn't see that addition to your post when I asked. I guess getting a Job 2 car is a nice consolation for the longer wait than the Selects and GTs had.
Update - not scheduled yet. I hope it will be scheduled for May production.I also received the email about my order being updated. I looked closely at both my MY21 CARt1 and MY22 eAWD Premium - turns out the update was to let me know the MY21 CARt1 had been sold.
No changes on my MY22 eAWD Premium.
