I did... at our local event on the Santa Fe Plaza yesterday. It was a lot of fun! There were 2 new MMEs, my 2021 MME, two Lightnings, a Rivian, eTron, eHummer, Kia ev6, ID.4, the City's new eSchoolBus, and a host of Teslas.
My MME was the only one with any modifications, everybody else was 'stock'. I wanted to show off the SUV side of the MME and went with my bike rack in the tow hitch, a hatch tent and mattress in the back, ODB2 with CarScanner 'custom dashboard' displayed on my phone, and my little portable power pack in the Frunk powering an electric cooktop and teapot.
takes less than 3 minutes to pop up the tent....
people LOVED the story of my first mod.... freaking the Dealership out by drilling access holes in the beauty cover so I could get to the 12v connection points. Local Firefighters and EMT stopped by and loved the third access hole I added over the HV disconnect.
The only other vehicle there that had power EXPORT capability were the Lightnings.
Nobody took me up on cooking lunch or coffee, but it started a lot of conversation
I have found that if you turn the headrests upside down, and extend them.....
They support the end of the mattress that would otherwise hang over the footwell
Pretty decent support for the entire 6 foot length of the mattress.
...and the 'info board' I used to capture the FAQs:
The eHummer is GIANORMOUS
226 kWhr school bus battery for a stated range of 138 miles
and a single motor rated at 230 kW output peak, which is just a little more than my combined motor output in a Select AWD. However, they have a massive cooling system so the continuous output is pretty high (no 5 second cap there!). A 2-speed transmission launches a loaded bus 0-60mph in a blistering 39 seconds.
