I posted this elsewhere but I'll add it here too...
The 3-year coverage on my 2022 Mach-E expires in two weeks. I haven't had any problems with it but nevertheless, I took car to the dealer's "Quick Lane" this last week to have the 12v battery tested. Sure enough, it failed the test, so they replaced it under warranty. I've added a reminder in my calendar to replace it again in 3 years, assuming I'll still have the car. The replacement battery is only warranted for 1 year, maybe because it is a warranty-replacement battery.

I will have to remember this as my '23 is coming up on 36K miles and was planning on having cosmetic stuff addressed:

door pillar plastic cracks (4)
center console squeaking
noise on driver's window caused by mirror gap at high speeds
12V battery check...

Even after this recall is applied to the PCM and SOBDMC it does not permanently fix an issue where you might get locked out. That could still happen eventually. This fix causes the DCDC converter to continue to run for a brief period so that you would be able to get all occupants out of the car before later discovering that your 12V battery has now died and needs to be replaced.

So you still need to keep the install date of your 12V battery in mind, (or your production date if you're on your original 12V battery) and set some sort of calendar reminder to proactively replace it around the 3 yr mark.
It went in for service recently and they tested the 12V and informed me it was good. It is well over 3 years old now. Installed an update yesterday all by itself no 12V charger required. Hard to throw good stuff out seems wasteful.

You sure it's not the gap in the mirror surround that's causing the noise?

I'm currently penciled in for 9/26, which is pretty wild. Glad it sounds like it's a quick fix though!

The PCM and SOBDMC updates showed up for my '23 model this morning.

I just finished knocking those out. Took 20 minutes from start to finish.

FDRS won't let me clear the FSA yet though.....I suspect that since nobody is 'supposed to' be doing these updates yet, officially (at a dealer), that it's why I got the "can't find FSA" error when I tried to clear it after updating. No matter...at least it's updated now.

Bringing this thread back closer to original topic. I tried to schedule this recall service (25S65/25V404) with my dealer. They said that the fix is not yet available. This contradicts both the letter I received by mail and the notice in Ford Pass app which states that "Software is now available to repair your vehicle. Ford Motor Company has authorized your dealer to update the powertrain control module and the secondary on-board diagnostic control module c free of charge." Any ideas on why they would tell me this?

They made a mistake. Ask them to recheck, or use a different dealer or different service advisor.

I agree with @macchiaz-o . The only model year the recall fix is available for is 2025, which covers your car. Try a different SA (maybe the one you spoke to just became a robot with all of the 2021-2024 people asking) or dealer. Make sure they know your car is a 2025 (you may have to repeat yourself multiple times). 🤔🐩

My Ford app updated today for our 2023 job 1 that states the software is available now and I can schedule.

Mine sent me a recall message as well but after logging in it still says the fix is not yet available. I think it’s just delayed notice within the ford app.

Earlier today the app said the fix wasn’t available yet. It changed sometime today after noon eastern time.
