Haven’t seriously shopped for one but I have seen plenty of articles/videos on the attractive prices on the used ones. You would look good in one!

I test drove a certified pre owned Taycan 4S. While the handling and driving dynamics were amazing, the cabin felt cramped and claustrophobic to me. And like all Porsche EV’s, there is no one pedal driving. OPD is one of my favorite things about driving an EV and I would not get an EV without it.

I haven’t driven that Porsche. But I drove the Macon EV Turbo. I wasn’t too impressed with it.
I dove the BMW i5 M60. That put a huge smile on my face compared to my 22 GT. Used prices for that is also about 1/2 of a new one.

I’m hoping BMW will bring their level 3 autonomous driving to the US. Level 2 is also acceptable. All they have here is level 2 but hands on above 40 MPH.

They have terrible resale for a reason.

The old adage "there's nothing more expensive than a cheap German car" applies.

In my experience, the Cross Turismos are harder to find and hold their value a little better. Someone on her switched from a Taycan to an MME early on. Said the Taycan had a lot of rattles, but that was an early build. Maybe search on here would find the post, but the search function can be hit or mostly miss.

Interesting, 1PD is the thing that keeps a Tesla Plaid off my list.

I like that the Mach E gives us both, but I drive exclusively in 2PD.

Stats definitely show it’s smaller than the Mach E inside (even though it’s longer) hoping that the cross turismo bridges the gap a little.

I don’t doubt that I5 drives well.

It just falls into the typical EV ugly pit.

So few attractive EVs out there.

Technically their resale (50% off MSRP after 3 years) is right in line with pretty much every EV including ours.

It’s just more noticeable when you start with a $150k-200k MSRP.

Definitely would stick to one still under warranty. I think it’s 5 yrs full and 8 yr battery.

I’ve found that beauty is in the eye of the beholder, but ugly tends to be universal. 😜

Kidding aside, it’s of course personal preference, but I really don’t understand the styling choices of most EV designers.

These days AI can spit out thousands of ideas in seconds. Many of which are really well received. I think somehow the engineers took over the design department. BMW in particular made a really ugly grill and seems to refuse to part from it.

Just to add to the potential fun factor for the Taycan-

Apparently pretty much all dual motor cars (Taycan 4, 4S, GTS, Turbo and Turbo S) have the same motors and batteries.

There are multiple tuners out there that can give the lower models the same power as the Turbo S as well as give it full power all the time (instead of just during launch control mode).

So a 2021-2024 4S can be tuned to 750 hp and the 2025 models can be tuned to 930hp. 😳

Pretty insane since the tune is only $2500. Also insane because Porsche charges about $100,000 more for a Turbo S than a 4.

Cross Turismo is the car I wanted and Mach-e GT is the car I can afford.

Honestly for the price I think the GT was an incredible value. Very happy with my choice 2 years in.

I've read they purposely design these "status symbol" cars to be ugly in order to stand out. I think the Prius is a famous example.
