Hyundai and Electrify America recently announced that Kona Electric drivers will be getting a special rate.

Electrify America also teased that a special rate for KIA Niro EV owners is coming.

The Mach-E comes with two years of FordPass access to Ford's charging partners. Will Ford and EA come out with a similar pricing scheme that's even further discounted beyond the EA Pass+ price list?

I'm sure they will, but all speculation at this point. A free lifetime membership would be nice!

I can't remember where, but I thought I saw something about giving us some free time on EA as a sample. Like maybe XX free minutes or something like that.

I haven't seen anything about a special rate yet, but I agree with the speculation that there should be something set up for us.

That'd be nice to have some free charging time for sure! What would be especially cool though is a more enticing rate than what the current Pass+ price is offering since the MME gets charged at $0.69/min for 45 minutes to go 10% to 80% SoC.

$31 for an 80% fill-up seems like a pretty steep price to pay and is a psychological barrier to adoption even if it's rarely to never used.

It won't cost that much silver, true cost will be around .31c per KW charged.

One last thing, the deal for Hyundai only lasts through 12/25/20.

My understanding is there will be a partnership with reduced pricing .
Considering Ford and VW have partnerships in autonomy and EVs with the MEB platform not to mention they're already in cahoots with Hyundai & KIA in Europe with Ionity, it makes sense. However, until Ford says so, we're just left to guess.

I'm hoping it's at least somewhat competitive with Hyundai's price. Tesla subsidizes the Supercharger Network with every car sold so obviously that's not gonna happen here with the MME.

For a 45 mins charge, I'd like to see pricing closer to between $15-20.

I kinda hope they don't subsidize public charging. Just means it's baked into the purchase price of the car. I don't wanna pay any more for the vehicle than I need to. Particularly since I may never use the subsidy.

The main reason for the special Hyundai deal is that the kona is 2 kw over the lower tier limit, which sucks. So basically it says a 77 kw car can get the 75 kw price
