Some tidbits here:
  • EU version has embedded wire elements for front windshield defrost (same in NA?).
  • Faster DC charging is possible if you turn the cabin heater off.

My most favorite discovery from this video! The backup camera is heated.
I hope this came to the U.S., too.

Not sure if it made it to NA models, but that won’t help with salt. I wish the rear camera had a washer system like the front camera does.

True, but at least it's relatively high up. I think that will help with salt accumulation, a little bit.

He got pretty good charging speeds, 93kWh, at his second stop. Nice to see. Makes you wonder what's up with the EA chargers here in the states.

Still don't think it's EA. He turned off the E heat. Apparently that warms the battery faster. If this is true, we need more people testing that.

There have been a number of people talking about slow DC charging in the cold and I'm wondering if it all comes down to the cabin heater.

I wonder if your turned off the e-heat in the 10 or so minutes on approach to the DCFS if it would almost pre-condition the battery?

Yeah, I'm wondering the same. It might at least get people above this mid 30s charging speed I keep seeing.

I'm not sure why it would do that. The coolant flow from the PTC always goes through the HVAC anyway.

Really? My window has that symbol on it, I think (NA). I assumed it was automatic.
The heating elements are just in the wiper park area at the bottom of the windshield (in NA). The symbol is likely either for that or the IRR coating on the windshield.
