So, after my long-running recent thread about the bumpy ride that I have experienced with my MME AWD ER First Edition (no need to rehash that particular topic here), I got a call from someone with Ford corporate's Parts & Service team who informed me that he was asked by the team at the plant in Mexico to give me a call and talk through the particular issue that I have been facing with the bumpy ride. They were apparently read the information from that thread and were able to figure out how I was from seeing mention of the dealership that I bought from and then figuring out that I was one of two purchasers of a Mach E from that dealership.

Since I am on vacation out of state with my MME, I still have not had a chance to get the car in to have it looked at by my dealer's service department, but I am really happy to know the Ford is reviewing information on these threads and actually taking some action based on feedback here. Whether or not the issue gets fixed, who knows, but I am hopeful that they will be able to figure something out and I am pleased that they are taking steps to investigate the issue at the plant and corporate levels.

That's great! I'm glad they reached out to you directly! I hope they can get some resolution for your issue!

Side note:
I'm sure Ford has its reasons, but I just wish they were a little more transparent in letting us know that they were reading these forums and looking into our issues!

Like, pop in once in a while and say something! Even if it's not super detailed, just "Intersting. We'll look into it." Or "You guys are obsessing over nothing." Or "Fix coming soon!"

I dunno.

I'm guessing that Ford's reasons for not announcing themselves on these forums are probably similar to the reasons that I have for not announcing that my work involves managing support experiences for large corporate customers for a certain huge technology company in forums where people complain about certain issues related to our products. I (along with others who do similar work) likely have no interest in people shooting me messages constantly about every single issue that they run into with our products. It is hard enough that I am the help desk for my immediate and extended family. ?

So true, when people find out where I work I either get the support questions or the, can you get me X software/game for a good price. The answer is yes, I get a great price on that game, and no I won't buy it for you. :)
My answer is "Sure, great price...list plus 10%".

My company cracked down on that about 20 years ago. Terms to get fired for. Companies used to blanket all of us employees trying to get us to buy enterprise software and they would trade us in value for hardware. One of my guys working under me was let go because he was caught doing it a lot. These days for family I just eat the cost of the software and give as a gift (usually subscriptions to software these days) just to avoid any chance at getting in trouble.

Always a deal to be had! I went on a barrel pick at Knob Creek Distillery. The barrels we had to choose from were so good I asked the rep if we could get a deal if we took two barrels. He didn't hesitate "Sure...we have this special, you buy the first barrel and we'll sell you the second one at regular price!"

I will be following this issue. The harsh bouncy ride and odd lumpy passenger seat were deal breakers for me. I am in no hurry to buy a car but would have ordered an MME at the test drive but for that.

Iā€™m only beginning my 11th week in the Ford information black hole and Iā€™m so mad I canā€™t see straight. How have you kept your sanity or have you?

With one exception, Iā€™ve owned nothing but Fords for over 40 years. If I ever get my MME it will be my last.
