I am at a loss as to why anyone is sitting in their car for long enough to feel the need to have entertainment options on the car's screen. Maybe it is just me, but I can think of no situation why I would ever feel the need to use the screen in such a way.
I don’t see the need for my car to entertain me, but I will defend people who stay with the car while it charges. I do. We’re talking 40 minutes. Not enough time to really go anywhere else, but too long to account for a simple pee break. I use the Libby app on my iPhone to get access to audiobooks from my county library system. It’s what I listen to on long drives. So while I charge, I just keep that going. I’m sitting in my car while I charge.

There’s always 40 minutes of new material on the Mach E Forum to wade through.

You are NOT wrong. It seems to be where all my free time has gone for the last month. Just when I think I’ve got my car figured out and start weening myself, I find something else I need to learn. Back to the forum. Now if the big screen had an app that sorted the forum for me.... that I would scroll through as I charged. ?

Before you go looking for entertainment, start a post on PlugShare including which plug you used, speed, bathroom access, etc. It’s more important than you think. Plus you can show off your ride with a sweet pic.

Does the Mach-E have audio and video inputs somewhere? My 2014 Fusion Hybrid has inputs in the center console, and with its 120 VAC outlet I can plug in a small DVD player and show videos on the screen while parked. The Owner Manual has a section covering the inputs. I read that the F-150 can do it, too.

Oh it's a book rack under the main console.
If you're wondering what a book is, check the local museum ?
Why not add Amazon Kindle to the entertainment system apps? In my digital library I have hundreds of books, mostly science fiction, but I also have a Bible and the Koran for those who might need some spiritual guidance.

And Tesla doesn't AA / Carplay, plus I believe you pay an access fee for Tesla to provide the limited entertainment it does, and you probably need a network plan.

Pick up the phone and use it. Take a nap. Go for a short walk. Write troll posts on the Mach E forum.

Yep, Tesla is a closed system like Apple, no AA or Carplay supported. $10 a month for all the web browsing and video watching you want. That is the network plan.

Navigation is provided free of charge with basic map updates included. But to get traffic updates and satellite level maps requires paying.

My wife plays Stardew Valley while we charge in the Tesla, so I'm stuck on my phone like you guys. I use YouTube pretty often, even if it's just 5-10 minutes of waiting. Having the car audio speakers with the video is great. Sure beats the speaker in the phone.
