CAD files look legit. I like the rear more than the front. The rear lights reminds me of a Subaru BRZ.

Hoping the front view is stretched bc of the perspective. I prefer the length and proportions of the rear look.

I like it looks like Ford will use their emblem for the front grill area.

The artist decided to use the Pony on the rear. Ford had better steer away from that idea or they will get a big backlash like they did when they initially called this the Mach 1. I am guessing the model name "Mach E" will be on the back in embossed lettering like the Explorer's hood. That way it won't screw with the aerodynamics.

The front lights are wrong in the rendering if you go by the CAD. The CAD lights look like the 2015-2017 Mustang ones (see below) which they still use for the current Mustang Shelby GT350 & GT500 models.

My thoughts exactly, they look like the original S550 lights but the lower intake area looks like a modified version of the 2018+ "fangs" - overall the front end is very Mustang which is for sure going to be controversial.

Edit - i shouldn't call them "fangs" since that's more like that in the GT grille. I meant the added vent under the fog lights. You see it looks very similar in the CAD.

Agreed. We must remember, if an auto manufacturer can use the same or very similar parts over many models, they save money...lots of it.

The rendered front image looks like a Tesla S

I hope the center "grille" part has a more defined outline, like in the actual CAD image. Then it would look more like a Mustang than a Tesla.

I think the front looks like a cross between a Focus RS and a Mustang.

Now that the CAD shell is out, we will get more accurate render's/shops in a few days. But this car's silhouette took me by surprise. I simply fell in love with the lines. I hope it bares out.

bump...
I can't believe none of the photochoppers have used the actual CAD drawings yet...

Here's another one. This one from Drivable Designs and found it at this link:

No way will the tires and wheels be that wide on any EVs sold by Ford. Though owners may do it. I talked with a Tesla Model 3 owner who had replaced the factory ones with after market and it affected his EV range but not by much so he told me.

^^ That looks like a weird Stangmaro hot hatch. I think based on the CAD it will stay pretty close to the 2018 S550 front end and look much more like a traditional SUV from the B pillar back. Hopefully it blends well. We've seen a few 4 door Mustang renderings in the past that just looked bizarre.

I think people over use the term SUV.

This is a 4-door hatch. Just stretch a Focus RS to have 4 doors and you are close to over-all size and utility.

I hope itā€™ll be closer to the Mustang in exterior width and front interior size, maybe even a little roomier than that. The Focus doesnā€™t have the shoulder or leg room Iā€™d like in a daily.
