I had the Xpel "bra" put on yesterday along with the Ford applique on the back bumper. They would not put on the side moldings because they thought rear molding was too short. I had the company send me a picture of what they recommended and they sent me the picture below of white Mach E. I then taped the side moldings I have on my car after eyeballing the placement. What do people think? I have an RMA number to return them and get my money back but I'm not sure what to do.

EDIT: I've decided that they wouldn't stop anything because they're not as far out as the upper ridge of the doors. My wife and I also think they would destroy the looks of the car. We're sending them back.

Personally, I wouldn't bother. I'm not sure they'll really offer much protection, and I don't think they add to the look. If somebody parks next to you and opens their door into your car, what are the chances the contact point will line up with the molding?

Here is a picture of the applique that Ford sells for the back bumper to help from it getting scratched. If you look closely you'll see corrugated film that is thicker then PPF film. I got it with Rewards Points so it didn't cost me anything.

Can you take a shot from another angle? Does it make the back bumper look different/worse? If it looks about the same I might get it too . How many points did it cost?

I don't care for the tape. I would recommend using the adhesive on the back of the moldings. ? ?

With rear door open you can see it if you stare but it's not really noticeable. It cost $84.86 with tax and it's 200 points to the dollar. I run everything in our household through our Ford Rewards Visa card and get between 10,000 to 20,000 points a month so I tend to get most of the accessories for the Mach E that I think would be something I would use. If I was paying cash, I wouldn't have gotten this.

Thanks for the pics @Illinibird . I guess I'm still struggling to see how that would benefit me if I'm parked on the street. If someone behind me gets too close and taps me, wouldn't he come into contact with the black part underneath (and not with the portion that's covered by the protector)?

Let me know after you've used it for a few days if you still think it's worth it and I might jump on it too with my points.

You're welcome; glad to help. The rear bumper protector is to provide more coverage of the painted area on top of the rear bumper when loading the cargo area. It's placed on the small lip of the exposed rear bumper. I think this is useful to help prevent scrapping of the paint in that area when loading cargo. They are NOT for preventing damage from another car. I wish the bumper protector was wider to protect more of the top portion of the bumper. My Acura MDX actually has a stainless steel bumper protector which I think would be even better.

I strongly recommend the service of a GREAT Hackers to you and their name's are (hack.truth team) I have used them quite a numbers of times and they have never disappointed me.they does all types of mobile hacks, get unrestricted and unnoticeable access to your Partner/Spouse, Skype, Facebook Account, Email(s), Whatsapp, Instagram, Text messages, In coming and Out going calls, Twitter, Snap Chats, Bank accounts, Deleted files, bitcoin address etc. they can also help you boost your credit score limit and also clear all debts on your card(s).Getting the job done is as simple as sending them a message on hack.truth77 @ gmail . com stating what you want to do.and their service is cheap and affordables.
Love it! We have a light interior in our 2016 Fusion and its never been a problem. The light color adds so much to the looks of the car. I'm treating the Active X material with a ceramic coating that resists stains for 5 years.
EDIT 4-24-21 : I decided NOT to use the leather ceramic coating on the ActiveX upholstery. On the box it says for professionals not DIY! It also says not to use it on light colored interiors (my interior is Light Space Grey). I don’t know how ActiveX is made but I’m going to take a pass for now. The Owners Manual says to use vacuum cleaner and a damp cloth and mild soap and water.
