So good. So far Ford has passed two of Sandy's vids. 3 to go! I'm expecting Sandy to be frustrated with the touchscreen and charging, but we'll see.

I'd be worried that he wasn't normal if the charging didn't frustrate him!

The good news on the touchscreen is, after decades visiting loud factories, he won't be able to hear it buzzing! :)

He’s going to spend 20 minutes trying to plug it into a Tesla charger, then give up in frustration and call it a piece of junk that’s years behind Tesla in usability ???

The video did remind me that Ford messed up on the LV battery placement. Especially when the hard to open cover breaks so easy when unsnapped. It should be easier to access, maybe they will fix for 2022.

Everyone see the new one yet? The excitement continues. @Kamuelaflyer I think you can safely watch this one past the 29 second mark! :D

Yeah, I saw Episode 2 and 3. He was excited about seeing good surprises.

One thing I cannot wait for is for him to really find where you can easily jumpstart the 12V battery. Because he is examining the car blind, he will be shocked when he find out that that little door (he thought he messed up the car) is access to the 12V battery. LOL

I just saw during ins Q and A today that he said they are going to be buying a Mach E to do a full tear down of it and over all seems hell of impressed.

Wait, can that little door actually be used to jump the 12v? I did not know that.

I expected Sandy to be highly critical of all the plastic you have to remove to access the 12v - he even broke the snaps removing it! - but he spent most of the video raving about the drain hole LOL.

That's awesome. I just wish it was a premium trim, so I could learn about the same stuff on my car. At least it's the AWD!

No, it can't. It's not connected the battery like that. Just powers a relay for the frunk! And, it only works when the 12v is dead.

Thats what I thought. Thanks for confirming. Sandy did a lot of comparing to Tesla - does Tesla make it this hard to access the 12v?

Tesla's is definitely easier to access. I can see the 2022 Mach-E having an access panel in the plastic for the 12v. Right now, it requires removing a lot of it.

Thankfully I’ve never had to access the battery. But if I do, I’m going to fashion some sort of access point so I don’t have to remove all that plastic a second time.
