I made what I like to call the 'beeper deleter'. No, it's not for sale since technically it is illegal to defeat this, but if you're interested in making your own I can give you some simple info via PM.

I simply found the mating connector and stuck a 5w resistor in there then sealed it up with adhesive heat shrink and some electrical tape for good measure. I haven't installed it yet but it should work just fine.

Has anyone checked where C275 is located? It might be easier to access than getting under the car and removing the underbody shield.

C275 is a giant inline connector. You're probably not going to want to cut wires to put a resistor in the loop there. It is under the dash left side.

And where is the push to require noise emitters on bicycles, which are far quieter than even the stealthiest EV and just as potentially dangerous at high speed
EVs don't emit fake sound above 20mph and bikes are not as dangerous as a car, at any speed

I see now that pins 55 & 56 are listed on the schematic. Glossed over that the first time I looked at it. How about C145? The circuit is on pins 2 & 3 of that one. ? ;)

Also another giant connector in the 'engine bay'. 52 pins.

Still waiting on my resistor from Amazon. I’ll just put it across the speaker wire connectors like Generaltso did. Then it’s all enclosed in the speaker house of anyway. But the heat shrink one does look nice.

Just easier to connect it back up when it is time to sell it. I use adhesive heat shrink so it is weather tight.

A more ambitious mod would be to add a switch with a resister, so you can turn off the speaker with a switch located within reach of the driver. Since the C275 connector is located near the driver, it seems like it might not be that difficult to do. I may try that (when I eventually get my MME). It would be good to be able to turn on the sound if you are in a situation where you prefer to have it on. I would probably turn it on in parking lots.

I can't speak from experience since I'm just here waiting for my GT order to be built, but I figure since I'll have a GT, I'll just rev the engine loud if I notice any pedestrians =) Isn't that what real Mustangs are supposed to do?

Would the thread starter or an admin be so kind and edit the start post with the solutions that were mentioned? That would be very helpful, since that thread is very long to read thru. And it helps newbies faster to find the solution they need.

If a admin is reading this that would be surely a recommend thing to use on every thread with questions or problems like that.

Thank you so much ;)
let me summarize: "I'm annoyed by a federally mandated noise so screw blind people; you can hack in a resistor to bypass all that pesky safety nonsense or shove in some kind of blocker. It's all about me, me, me!"

Alternative TLDR: (for @xXCheXx )
Don’t disable the backup sound because a bunch of interweb lawyers say that if the backup camera, mirrors, backup obstacle warning tone, and automatic collision avoidance braking don’t stop you from backing over a blind person, then you’ll be saved by the fact that it was beeping like a Tow Truck. When in court you can say, “Yes judge, I know the car automatically applied applied the brakes, but I had a warning tone going so I knew nothing was behind me. So without looking, I gave it more gas. Not my fault,” and you’ll be saved.
If you choose to ignore this sage advice, you can muffle the speaker by putting cardboard or foam between the speaker and grill, which is located under the car just midline of the driver’s side front tire. Or you can disable the speaker entirely by unplugging it and bridging the blade connectors with a 5 watt 4.7 ohm resistor.

also edited the first post for you.

Do parking sensors not work on humans?
Once the robot revolution begins they will purposefully not alert you to humans, sight impaired or otherwise. The backup tone is just the Gov’t planning ahead. It’s their strong suit.
