Here is my experience. So far everything I have been told by the dealer is correct. Should receive email to order online on 30 June. I then get the 500 back from online reservation. They charge me 500 for the order. It is completely refundable until after I test drive. I have all that in writing. What I do not agree with is 1100 destination charge but I will work on that.

I don’t think you can do anything about that. People were complaining about that on Tesla forums where they pick their cars up at the factory itself and still getting the delivery and destination charges. Think they mentioned it’s some sort of law that they have no control over

Was told up to 10 days depending on your bank. I have read that people that have canceled already received back within 3 days.
This is true. I ordered 2 vehicles knowing I would only keep one. Once I decided on the LE I canceled the other one and git my money back in 3 days. Very simple.

The order system is up.

Just so everyone knows, the place to make changes is all the way at the bottom. I was really confused at first.....

Can't change the dealership, unfortunately. I'm glad I called the reservation desk a couple days ago to do it. I really want to complete the conversion, but I don't like the dealer I originally picked after all the jerking me around they've done.

Call and try again. Others have been able to.

I will need to call then, first thing Monday. I'm very nervous about losing my LE if I change dealers. The new dealer I want to work with has actually offered me a lower price than the one I originally signed up for. Is there a special number to call?

Call the helpline (800-334-4375, 1, 3, 1) on Monday.

One new thing I noticed on the Order Guide... listed as standard with the Select trim is "up to 150kW capability" for DC charging. Tech specs doc showed that Select trim was limited to up to 115kW DC charging capability. ?‍♂

For us all that ordered a Select, hope the Order Guide wasnt a typo :) !!

I would guess that:
A) That is a typo and/or
B) All the cars have the exact same charging capability but its the battery that will limit how fast they can charge. The bigger battery will charge faster. Thus they can publish "up to" because the hardware is there for it even though the battery can't.

It also confirms:
4.) Separate payment for feature software required to activate full functionality at that time.

So hands free driving will have a price to it, but how much ?
Why would you buy a Mustang and let a computer drive it? ;-)

Simply that on long road trips you arrive at destination more rested, and I have quite a bit of long trips with my family leaving up to 800 km+, so with recharge stops and hands free driving it will be more pleasant. :) There will be plenty of other smaller trips that I will be able to enjoy the MME driving experience.

Exactly. Endless miles of boring highway I will leave to the car; curvy back roads are for me!

Of course, efficiency (I still like to call it mileage to be consistent with ICE) varies so widely on BEVs that boiling it down to a single number like this is almost pointless. What we really need is a separate number for a constant 70 or 75 MPH (for road trips, where range really matters most). For all we know that could drop to 2.4 or worse.

Note too that the 3.4 miles/kWh calculation is for the RWD models (both ER and SR). Both AWD's calculate to 3.1.
Zippy combination highway/city real world driving with my Kona EV is 4.0; distance driving at 75-80 mph, drops to 3.6 or so.
