Still waiting to hear back from the dealer on my buzzing IPC but I'm not hopeful. Chiming in to add another voice to the issue. Outside of the buzz the driving experience with the Mach-E has been great, but the buzz cuts through music a lot of the time for me and I'm not one to keep a vehicle that I paid nearly $60,000 for when it gives me a headache. Hopefully @Ford Motor Company does the right thing by early adopters and doesn't choose to just churn customers in hopes that they'll get it right in the future.

I notice it sometimes and sometimes I don't notice it at all, but never enough to really bother me. I wonder if it's actually inconsistent on the buzzing or just my ears are conditioned differently at times.

Mine seems to be getting louder as time goes on, originally we couldn't hear it in the passenger seat, but now you can faintly hear it on both sides of the cab. I'm supposed to get a call today from the dealership I purchased it from and if I have to go down that way there should be 2 others I can take a listen to and see if it exists. I just can't abide paying any amount of money to simulate having tinnitus .

I have chatted with Ford engineers working on Mach E. I'm not going to explain how or who.

They're well aware of the noise from instrument panel (because they said it's well known and they asked me whether the noise changes when I change the brightness of instrument panel cluster display, as soon as I mentioned it.) They told me they've addressed the issue for job 2. The fix to my Mach E would be to replace the display, and it will be available in Q4. I was so happy to hear it that I forgot to ask about the logistics of the fix or whether it will be covered under warranty.
Quote what I said myself a few months ago. I didn't know what job 2 means back then and still don't.

Now, when I go to Ford site for Mach E manual, I see this "Owner’s Manual (Vehicles Built Up To: 6/6/2021)". So 6/6 might be the cut off for job 1 vs job 2.

https://owner.ford.com/tools/account/how-tos/owner-manuals.html?year=2021&make=Ford&model=Mustang Mach-E

Mine was supposedly built the week of 6/6/21, and we do not have any buzzing from the IPC.
This is definitely plausible, considering the above.

She has excellent hearing across the spectrum, so I am reasonably certain she would have complained if it made the noise others are experiencing.
Since reading this thread, I am going to have her listen to the dash very closely when she gets home, and also see what I can hear with my hearing aids turned way up.
Please understand that many people just can't hear it, and there were many people who previously claimed that their MME doesn't have it. That's why people (including me) were and still are skeptical about your claim. Nothing personal.

For me, the interaction with your representative ended up nowhere. I explained the problem, he understood it, redirected me to a dealership.

Finally, he said "I need to involve higher resources to fix this problem" and dissapeared. He doesn't answer my emails anymore.

I visited two different dealerships. They confirmed the noise exists, but SSM 49810 says 'its normal'. They won't fix anything.
Same here. The rep told me there's nothing they can do unless I bring mine to a dealership. But I don't see any point of doing that considering the existence of this SSM. So that went no where.

Well the official response from Ford is that this is normal and initiate a buy-back if you don't like it. Just an update to my case.

I agree because outside of this I really enjoy the vehicle. Comparing it to a model Y this evening and I can honestly say as far as drive experience goes and styling I prefer the Mach-E.

Has anyone experimented with finding a way to mitigate the noise? It seems the sound comes from the front middle of the panel so not sure if there would be a way to use a screen protector or something to help cut down on the noise transfer or not.

The better solution would be for @Ford Motor Company use a few of it's well paid engineers to find out a solution that doesn't involve replacing the display or telling customers to return their brand new vehicles. Perhaps manufacture a cover that can be slotted over the display to let it remain visible but diffuse the sound of the panel? The dash display isn't a touch screen so there really isn't a reason for it to be exposed like it is. I'm sure someone with a 3D printer and a couple hours of effort could come up with something, so I would hope Ford could do the same.

At any rate I'm now waiting to hear back the results of my back-back case should know within 5 business days.

I not only have a really loud buzzing but if you put your ear up to the display there’s also this turning, motor like clicking sound. I wish it was just that to be honest because it’s less annoying than the buzz. But I have both. It definitely cuts through road noise and the type of music I listen to so it’s always present. And yes just from the drivers display, the middle is just fine.

I hope @Ford Motor Company addresses this because the car is SO NICE but when you’re sitting in it and it’s buzzing like an 80s computer it just really makes it feel cheap :/

What's this buy back? The noise is annoying enough for me that if I'm not losing money I'm happy to return the car and buy a ID4 or a Model Y

You can apparently apply for a buy back if over this issue; not sure if they will approve it, but I'll find out next week. If approved I believe you just give them the vehicle and they give you back what you paid and all parties walk away. I'm not positive though because this isn't something I've ever done before.

How did you initiate it? Via the dealer or Ford?

Disconnect the display if it's really that bad.

The dealer told me to call Ford Customer service and initiate it there and they would send over paperwork to each of us to start the process.
