Adaptive Cruise Control with Stop and Go and Lane Centering are driver assistance capabilities on ALL Mustang Mach-E vehicles... See lots of helpful information on those features and more, over here:

https://www.macheforum.com/site/thr...manuals-and-web-sites-for-mach-e-owners.1660/

BlueCruise is a hands free driving capability that isn't yet available, but should be before the end of this year.

The adaptive cruise control is really meant for freeway driving. You "can" use it for side streets, but just be VERY aware of what you are doing. Example, sitting at a red light, car in front of you makes a right turn on red, your car will now accelerate pretty quickly to get back up to the set speed. Very dangerous in multiple situations.

That said, I use mine on side streets daily and have had no issues, but I do have to push the resume button or press the gas pedal to make it go from a full stop. The other day I got stuck in stop/go traffic on the freeway, it actually said "Auto Resume" and would start on its own from a full stop. Dunno if that was a fluke or not as I've not been in full stopped traffic again on the freeway but I was digging it working that way.

Great points. I use mine daily on side streets too. You do get pretty good efficiency using it as well. I keep mine on “Intelligent” and do not even look at street signs any longer. But you are exactly right about turning vehicles so attention is needed. I cannot wait for Blue Cruise….

The other very dangerous thing that occurs is the car will sometimes not stop if you are coming up behind a stopped vehicle. I think the radar works better if the car in front of you is also moving.

My cruise control doesn't move the car from stop by itself, it gives me a message to press the X button to start moving. I didn't realize it could start moving from stop by itself! Is there a setting I need to change?

I believe it will auto resume if you are only stopped for a few seconds. After like 5 seconds it goes to where you have to push the button or accelerator to resume.

You have to press go pedal or resume button if you're stopped for more than 3 seconds.

There's an exception. If you have "intelligent cruise control" turned on (the feature that automatically adjust cruise speed based on speed signs), AND you're stopped on a limited access freeway, you get "auto resume" displayed on the instrument panel cluster. Under this circumstance, the timeout is extended to 30 seconds.

I've never had that happen, and I use my adaptive cruise control daily in very heavy traffic. Daughter's High School only has one road that goes to it, and traffic is AWFUL!!!!

While I can say I've never had the intelligent cruise control turned on, who knows if the car has turned it on lol It might work with just the adaptive on a freeway as well.

Not saying it can't, just saying I've not experienced it. Also worth mentioning companies have to write "do not drink" on bleach, or "Do not use hair curler in bath", or my favorite "Coffee HOT" on McDonalds' coffee cups.

Even if the system was 100% faultless, a PERFECTED system, the company would still make that disclaimer.

That said, I always have my foot by the brake just incase in stop/go traffic. You are still responsible for your car, regardless of any automated technology. Only time I half way relax is when I'm on an open freeway. At that point I'll let my feet stray away from the brake a little.

Well, I wouldn't put that in the same category as don't drink bleach because it's so specific. But in any case just sharing the knowledge so people are aware. ?

Also a lot of side streets/non hwy roads the lane centering is off and on especially on one lane roads. Like you said its best or only for highway

Auto resume has always worked for me on city streets.
