Hey everyone! I am new to the group here. I joined because I am in the market for a MME. Live in southern CA so most likely going to get the CA Rt 1. But… since I have joined this group, I have noticed that there seem to be a lot of issues/complaints with the vehicle. To be fair, I currently drive a Jeep Cherokee and there are certainly ample issues/complaints on the Cherokee forums. So I guess all I really am looking for are some good positive experiences. What do you all LOVE about your MME? Any SOCAL owners? If so, which model did you get and how is that working out for you. At the end of the… are you all happy with your purchase? Thanks in advance for any comments (helpful, sarcastic, or otherwise)! Be safe out there!

I've owned my Carbonized Grey Mustang MachE AWD Premium for a month exactly.

First off, I love the car. I love this community. I've learned a ton being on this forum and it's a super fun group of people teaching and learning from each other.

The bad off the bat- The screen is a little laggy, especially coming from ipads and iphone responsiveness. Sometimes Carplay doesn't connect right away prompting a screen reset. The USB chargers don't charge devices when car is off- but, you can leave the car on and lock it if you need it to charge bad enough. There are a set of USB-c & USB ports in the front and middle seat. And a cigarette lighter outlet in the center console and rear of the car. It discharges about 1% every hour. Not a fan of the flat grille, so just added a vinyl to give it more of a GT look. It's a newer model, so not as many accessories for it. Also, people are unsure of an SUV mustang, I can't believe I own a car like this. I'm more of a Shelby Mustang kind of guy not an SUV kind of guy. Not thrilled by the $10K dealer markup since these are hard to get and I had limited leverage. The side emblem is peeling off after a few hand washes (hose and soap), but dealership ordered a new one to replace it.

The good. It's fast and peppy. Even in the calmer eco mood, but in unbridled, hold on to your eyeballs. Charging it is a lot more fun than getting gas. If you don't have a way to charge at home, not worth the troubles though. Feels much more robust and premium over Teslas. This is exactly the car I was wanting to avoid getting a Tesla, even though I like those, they just didn't seem to fit my needs. Fold down seats are a huge plus and the panoramic sunroof is beautiful. Mine even has ambient lighting which is a nice touch. Carplay is also a huge benefit. Along with adaptive cruise control, which basically drives your car itself. Self driving comes this year along with apple maps directions on front console. I get stopped every few days for either questions or photos with the car. The car is a bit of a celebrity.

If I didn't buy this car, I would be trying to. It's been my favorite car. I haven't had that many nice cars and this is the one I bought to elevate myself and how my clients see me. I completely recommend it!

Love when self entitled blowhards have to try and discredit someone else’s OPINION on a subject just because they don’t agree.

No one cares if you disagree with an OPINION, opinions are not factual and the thoughts of someone with information they have.

Post is asking for our opinions, not asking for people that disagree to try and discredit posts.

Amen. Sadly, there is WAY too much of that on this forum.

Did you miss where you used the word fact in your own post?

CA Rt 1, RR, since late February. Have a 2 year old Kona EV also. The MME is larger, handles better, gets LOTS of compliments, have made many parking lot friends - never happened before with any other car I have owned in the 50 years since I got my license. Only improvement I am working to make is adding ventilation to my seat. If you want eyeball popping acceleration, choose the AWD or GT trims. I am very happy with my CaRt 1- it is plenty quick enough for me!! PM me with any specific questions about that trim level, or search previous posts. Bottom line, I did not purchase my MME for PAAK, I purchased it to feel great while driving an EV. I got that!

There is only one thing that started annoying me since I got Mach-E: all those slow drivers around.
I like the slow drivers… because I can pass them near instantaneously. I think that’s the most fun part. Even at 45 MPH behind some Gomer, drop the hammer and be in front of them in 3 seconds. Wheeeeee. ?

Nope, the fact that most dealers have no clue with EVs is a fact in my area, you know the place I'm basing my opinion in. Not saying every Ford dealership are clueless to EVs across the US. I obviously would not have an opinion of a dealership in LA or in another state as I have no experience with them.

I have had some minor odd issues with my MME. I have called 3 dealers to see about getting it serviced, all three straight up said they have no experience with the EVs and it could be weeks before the issue could even be looked at. Really does not make me feel good about dropping it off for minor software issues. I'm holding off for the big OTA update that is supposed to be coming this fall.

That said, the dealership could had said that to just blow me off. I mean why would they invite warrantee work on themselves with a technology that they are not familiar with.

I have not had many problems and I love the vehicle. The problems I did have were initial setup, and that was it. These are server side ford issues. Is there some small issues. Eh probably. Nothing I don't notice. For the record, most of the app problems seem to be iPhone related, android had been rather problem free for me these days.

In terms of Tesla having good service...not really. Husband had a model 3. He had to make an appointment to change an air filter. I can do this myself easily on the mach e.

Indeed...live in the burbs (Oregon). Born and raised on the Eastside! Yeah, I'm one of those people...lol!?
I run past Tony Packos when doing a long run on a regular basis. BTW, love California! Big Sur marathon is my all time favorite.?
The Glass City Marathon must be a breeze for you (Maybe 2 ft of elevation change?) if you like the Big Sur Marathon. I've lived in more than a few places, and Toledo has such a unique history, mix of cultures, and delicious food (Lebanese!).

Nah - way too hilly for a road race. If you like hills, take an ultra race - I would recommend Quicksilver or Miwok, hey - they just had Waldo 100K near your neighborhood. As for marathons - CIM any day for me (I live nearby). Or, if you like to travel - Chicago, New York, Boston - though those are bigger ones. What I am trying to say - Big Sur is too hilly for a marathon but too flat for a real hilly route :)
I'm exhausted just thinking of running any of those races.

Geographically, I'm in limbo between the East Bay and the Central Valley. So, I look east and I feel like I'm still in Toledo with nothing bur farms and orchards. I look West and I'm staring at Diablo and I remember I'm in CA. Well, looking east I remember it when I realize the low clouds on the horizon aren't clouds, but the tops of the Sierras. What a place to live.

Can't wait to be hammering along the sloughs of the Delta or the switchbacks on the way to Tahoe in my new MME. If I could only find one!

I haven't read through all the replies like I normally do - the negativity seemed to take over.

I Love my Car. Mid-50s and the most fun car I have ever owned. My first electric and it is amazing.

I've had my First Edition for 4 months and I just put in an order this evening for the GT Performance Edition. I agreed to sell my convertible mustang to get my wife to agree to it. If that shows you have much I love this car!
