Spent three hours Friday night at a local car show telling folks how much I love it. Was complemented on how much I knew about the car. All because of this forum. Thanks folks! FYI, I just use the fob at this point.

Duh, YES! Very first Electric Vehicle I've ever owned and I jumped in with both feet - it's the only vehicle i own.
I've always had a firm rule I've never broken - Never, never, never buy a new car in it's first model year. Too many issues.
I broke my own rule for the Mustang Mach E, sight unseen (except for the webcast unveiling and ll the internet sleuthing I could do!).
Yes, the vehicle is undergoing some first year growing pains.
I don't regret my decision at all. I'm not a "car guy" or a "driver", but ever time I get into this car, I smile.
If you have questions about buying one - DON'T. Let someone who really wants one have it :D

Me too, 1st EV and it's the only car I own and I do love the car. It does have it's issues, but I have to believe that they will be resolved with software updates when Ford figures out that process.

I have owned Porsche’s for the last 25 years before the MME. I have loved my Carreras. This is the first EV I have been in or owned. I love this car massively and for some reason I am very attached to it. I would recommend it to anyone. It can only get better and better.

I see from the picture on the wall you're in Glass City. Never thought I'd say it, but I miss Toledo. I lived in the Monclova area for five years before moving out to CA. Enjoy the sweet ride and some Tony Packo's! But not together, unless you got the Interior Protection Package.
Indeed...live in the burbs (Oregon). Born and raised on the Eastside! Yeah, I'm one of those people...lol!?
I run past Tony Packos when doing a long run on a regular basis. BTW, love California! Big Sur marathon is my all time favorite.?

Hey everyone! I am new to the group here. I joined because I am in the market for a MME. Live in southern CA so most likely going to get the CA Rt 1. But… since I have joined this group, I have noticed that there seem to be a lot of issues/complaints with the vehicle. To be fair, I currently drive a Jeep Cherokee and there are certainly ample issues/complaints on the Cherokee forums. So I guess all I really am looking for are some good positive experiences. What do you all LOVE about your MME? Any SOCAL owners? If so, which model did you get and how is that working out for you. At the end of the… are you all happy with your purchase? Thanks in advance for any comments (helpful, sarcastic, or otherwise)! Be safe out there!
Love it! Coolest car I’ve ever had. Fast and handles great. It makes driving electric a blast. I needed ASM upgrade from our Leaf and it does the job with style. It’s a great way to win people over to driving electric.

I’ve had issues with the car and Ford has done s great job of taking care of what was needed. PaaK works well for me but not so well for my wife.

I love it enough with it that I have an F-150 Lightning reserved.

another software glitch is the excess length of time it takes for the centre screen to redraw from the reverse view to refresh and draw the regular radio/driving view. I have the reverse delay turned off. But I drive half a block before the radio screen becomes usable.
That's a defect, my car switches very quickly, probably in less than a second. Take your car to the dealership to fix it.
May not be a defect: There is a "reverse camera delay" setting in there somewhere.

Not clear from your message, but did you play with different modes - Engage, Whisper and Unbridled? Did you try brakes with 1PD on and off? Did you try modes with 1PD off but L on? I find the brakes have different feel in different modes - like Unbridled with 1PD on is really harsh but Engaged with 1PD off is what I like and currently use. There are a lot of options - which I also like.

As for the original question - it's a damn good car, every time I drive it, I feel special. I only had couple of issues with PaaK - once I could not make it work for half a day - until I googled the solution :) (a lot of settings removals and app uninstall/install). Other than that - my heart rate raises every time I get into my MME :)
That's a good point. As far as modes, I only tried Whisper and Engage. For now, I settled on the Engage with 1 pedal OFF. I never tried the one pedal driving.

Frankly, have no idea what "it just doesn't stop" means. The brakes are very grippy in my car. In most cases I don't need them at all since I'm using 1PD. But when I need more deceleration than 1PD provides I'm being very gentle with the pedal not to break hard.
A hard brake would be when a traffic light turns red and the usual distance, as recommended by the brake coach, isn't there. Then one needs to make the damn vehicle stop no matter what.

This was what I was saying (or at least trying to) in my post in this thread, and it's the "for some reason" part that I really can't quite put my finger on. I have also become very "attached" to my MME, and that's really not like me. I'm not sure what it is either, but at least for me, there is something about this car that draws out an extra level of attachment.

Ignore the brake coach, that is there to help a driver maximize regen energy. Just drive the car. And like I said, if you think your brakes are malfunctioning get to your dealer and have them checked.

I know what you mean. "For some reason" , I still enjoy this car after four months like I did day one!

I love my Mme. This is my first ev. Sure there are some quirky things but I enjoy the ride and handling. I knew going in to this that it's a new car and new experience for Ford. I am willing to go along with the growing pains

Yes, loving the Mach E for sure. Wife loves it too. Second EV after my Clarity Plug-in lease ended and the Mach E drives so much better and so far, does everything better. I am constantly amazed at how much positive attention the car gets in the SF Bay Area ("Tesla Country").

With the exception of the high voltage battery issues I see, most complaints are really "1st World Problem" type complaints when you think about them (including mine!).

What’s this? A Positive post? Count me in Mr or Mrs Snaptrap. Since your new here you probably haven't seen my posts so a little history.

Neither my wife and I are "car people." We buy something for utility, use it until it dies, don't worry about what it looks like. It's a tool. As my wife needed to replace her escape she decided she wanted to be "greener" and we started looking at Hybrids. None quite fit the bill and we ended up test driving a Mach-E. It was perfect for what she does (Soccer Mom type stuff) while still being the coolest car she had ever owned AND more environmentally friendly. She fell in love and not having had single problem, she still is. She worries about the electric bill, until I tell her what her monthly mileage would have cost in Gasoline.

So she gets hers and not only is she in love, I find reasons to drive it. Now I'm a truck guy. The last car I bought was a 1979 Toyota Celica that I bought in high school. It's been all trucks ever since. I'm also a frugal guy. I work hard to not be in debt. There was NO reason in the world I should want a Mustang Mach-E, but I was obsessed. Within two weeks I had convinced myself that stopping using my F150 as a daily driver would prolong it's useful life and driving a Mach-E would save gas. So I went out and found one for myself. I was willing to take on two simultaneous car payments, something we've never done in 20 years of marriage. That's how much I loved my Mach-E.

As I said, I'm not really a car guy. But I spent 8 hours cleaning, claying, polishing and ceramic coating this car. (As I said, I'm frugal and I wasn't about to pay someone $2000 for something any person on youtube could teach me). I love this car enough to care about it. My trucks got washed once a year whether they needed it or not. I wash this car at least weekly. I've learned to do vinyl to add my own striping. Never before has any vehicle I owned received any kind of visual modification. I just spent a week figuring out how to make my pony emblem light up. Basically, the amount of love and attention I give this car... I understand how some wives are jealous of their husbands cars. But I also give attention to my wife's MME. Sometimes we wash them together and SHE HAS NEVER washed a car in her life. She's a farm girl who occasionally took her past cars to the automated car washes. We took our cars to a cars and coffee and she LOVED showing her car off. She loved telling the mustang guys about her pony. She memorized the horsepower and torque specifications so she could spew numbers to the boys. This woman refused to learn to put air in a tire for 18 years and now she is washing, helping do striping, and talking foot lbs.

TLDR: We're THAT middle aged couple and we both LOVE our Mustang Mach-E's.
