Not the biggest deal, but I would feel more confident if he got the name of the color correct. Odds are Ford is just stealth nannying these things until they know what they have. They have been in full crisis prevention mode this entire Mach E enterprise.

Well it is not like ford has a recent history of botched product launches, oh wait , at least with the mach-e the total production numbers are limited by battery numbers so the total amount of vehicles that could have potential issues is lower than normal.

Still with another set of numbers to go by from a GTPE it will at least give us an idea if the already posted figures are the norm or if something is a miss and if so then it is just a quick software fix away and one that works better than the paak "fixes"

Lets posit that this is just a problem with OPs car and isn't a universal problem with GTs.

How does he get it fixed? They can't legally test it on the street and I don't think dealerships are generally real big on trying to fix problems that they can't confirm exist.

You could always verify the issue on a dyno - but not sure how many dealers have those.

That said, Dyno results from a GT or GT performance could be quite revealing. Do we have any guinea pigs willing to give it a go?

I wonder if a dealership would accept a dyno from a third party as proof that there was an issue.

This isn't the first time Ford has had performance problems. I'm sure some people here remember the recall on the (IIRC) 99 Cobra. But that was a pretty clear case of the car not making the advertised horsepower. In OPs case the car still makes 480 horsepower which is why it still goes 0-60 in under 4 seconds, but it apparently only makes 480 horsepower up to about 75 mph because the numbers after that would indicate something more like 250 horsepower. Ford of course hasn't advertised where in its speed range it makes 480 horsepower so still not technically a problem.

AWD dynos are significantly more rare than regular dynos but they of course are out there.

I'm thankful for the OP and have truly enjoyed all of this speculation, frustration, and bench racing. To me, this feels like forum days of old...like 20 years ago.
