Would love to have light shed on the 0-60 and 1/4 mile issues with the GTPE.

The situation is definitely holding my $65k back, and I'm sure there are several others in the same boat.

Ford has an account here and they occasionally respond to people (mostly asking them to contact them about warranty issues).

There's zero doubt Ford is aware of all the hoopla.
You say theres 0 doubt but I was talking to a supervisor at corporate this last week and he had literally no idea that GTs were being delivered with BlueCruise fully active. Ford has massive interdepartmental communication issues.

Can you elaborate on what issues are concerning you?

I was wondering if it was just me. I read lots of posts and don't recall any issues with the GT PE.

It's likely a combination of battery soc being a little low and peak battery power being cut after x seconds to prevent battery degradation. It is also a single data point with one car. Ford never advertised this car as a drag car but it will give you great 0-70+ and great highway passing acceleration. The audi e-tron follows a similar strategy with what they call boost hp. My focus RS limits peak turbo pressure for only a few seconds and it never bothers me as I didn't buy it to drag race it.

Here is the thread - basically at a drag strip it traps at a lower speed than the 4x trim because power drops off like crazy at higher speeds (like over 60)

That and the 0-60 in 3.5 seconds is not as advertised in this particular vehicle. Trying to determine if this is an anomaly; ie an isolated underperforming partially defective case, or if it is applicable to all GTPE units--and if so whether that's something deliberate and fixable via OTA updates...thanks!

The 0-60 times are with a roll out on a perfect or near perfect track. Are you using the same?

But to answer the thread title, there is an official Ford presence here that monitors the threads, there are numerous Ford employees some of whom are or have been associated with the Mach-e project.

If you have been following that thread, we have a second data point (another GTPE) showing the same performance.

Congrats, now we have 2 threads of GTPE hope, misery, elation, and dejection. Hey, @blue92lx get in here with your thread summary from the other one and drop some knowledge on all of the uninformed masses. ?

And, now the problems start, haha.

So far we have 2 GTPEs that have run 7.9-8.0 1/8 mile times @ 85-87mph. And a slew of 3.7-3.9 0-60 runs as well. @0t60-3.5 and @cloud9 can speak to what speed the acceleration really starts to fall off hard, but, with those 1/8 times/trap speeds it ain’t 60mph. I believe they’ve made that much clear. The longitudinal G traces on the Dragy runs show strong pull into the 80s but a 100mph trap speed in the 1/4 is way off.

@Frankie has also tested his GTPE that got delivered to the dealer but he blocked me in the other thread so I only see his posts if I log out. ?.

Yeah, it’s a great thread peeps. Don’t miss out.
