You are wrong. I was about to get the "whole package" of accessories before my car arrives. But yesterday I've noticed that the level 1 charger is hidden under the tray. Most likely I will need it every day...... In this situation the liner seems to be more annoying then useful.
So I opened a discussion to just weigh all the pros and cons.
If you don't feel like you need to then don't? I also don't recommend the OEM interior package. The tuxmat is sooo nice.

Well, that's an entirely different question than the one you originally posed.
I know..... It is that this little tine problem just opened another question for me - what is more useful
- easy access to that little storage under the tray or
- having that tray protected.

That is why I opened this discussion.

Well, that's an entirely different question than the one you originally posed. If you're planning on removing the included charger, then rolling it back up and putting it in the original spot every day, then this would be a hassle. Among those that actually use the included charger, most leave it at home or put it in the frunk. Mine is right where it was when the factory put it in its spot. And that's where it'll stay unless I ever need to use it (which is unlikely).
mine is indeed in the frunk at the moment, from my last road trip - I've been too lazy to move it to the back storage area and honestly it fits nicely in the frunk. Although that does mean the special space for it in the back is wasted right now. ?‍♀

There's been multiple literal lols for me in this thread at this point so thank you all for that. ?

I haven't decided yet. I have doubts. I wanted to hear all the opinions to make an educated decision.

I also loved it. That is my first choice so far. But they don't have the liner in the set.

Thanks for the reminder on why you opened the discussion, not sure I remember anymore though, can you remind me what the question is?! ?‍♂

I don't know why do you have trouble comprehending it....

the logic is simple:
the answer to the question "What is the point of the trunk liner" would help deciding which is more useful

"
- easy access to that little storage under the tray or
- having that tray protected.
"

Ok let's take this thread up a notch. Do you get the OEM protection package or buy aftermarket mats and liner like the Tuxmat?

That trunk panel is completely removable. You can always take it out and clean it up. But even if you destroyed and trashed completely - I don't think it will be too expensive to just replace it?
Am I missing something?
I live in a forest. Sappy pine needles EVERYWHERE. The rubber liner prevents pine sap from infiltrating into the carpet fibers.

Plus, the rubber liner won't be "destroyed and trashed completely"...I'll just GooGone the sap off the rubber, and hose it off...back to new!

I got the 3D Maxpider mat set. Interior seating area and cargo area. Rock Auto has an insane price on the set. I did not get the frunk liner.

Now all I need is an MME. ?

The liners are sold as accessories. You can buy one whenever. So, no need to fret about this.

Enjoy your car when you get it and if you realize a use case where putting a canvas tarp or a plastic one or Ford's liner or Tuxmat's or just a big giant condom (lots of people in this thread seem to be leaving one in there if I read it right), then make that choice at that time.

I haven't found the need to buy a custom fit liner for the cargo area because I already own a very capable, highly functional canvas tarp. It's also easy to remove, clean, reinsert, and it even works in the frunk, too.

I moved the tarp from my Fiesta to the Mach-E in March. It's by far the easiest upgrade I've performed so far.

It moved from a shelf in the garage to the Fiesta the first time I found the need to do so back in 2014.

I am pleased to report myTarp® is also certified as Compatible With Pyrex™ by independent lab testing.*

* do try this at home, but at your own risk
