Here’s to hoping that this delivery comes soon. The dealer is as in the dark as I am re: an exact delivery date. *Fingers crossed for a phone call today* Coming from a Macan S, the test drive made me a believer.

Did your car ever show up in Kansas City? Just wondering. The same dealer has a Premium AWD with standard range battery in Rapid Red that was delivered Friday or Saturday, it had a ship date of 9/24 from Mexico and was delivered to Norfolk Southern in Kansas City on October 9 according to palsapp.com.

Your order is part of the chip hold club from July, as mine and a few others' here as well.

To be completely honest, I just started to “watch” the car once the ETA was close. Which site would I use to check the transport of the order? I’ll check and get back to you.

Until very recently all cars have been distributed via Kansas City - they are transported from the plant to Kansas City by Kansas City Southern railway company, then trucked to Norfolk Southern's Voltz Yard by Jack Cooper (if that company handled you car, you should see the date on palsapp.com using your VIN as the search criterion); Norfolk Southern would take the car to its rail yard in New Castle, Delaware, from there United Road will make the last mile delivery by truck to your dealer.

The only exception to those itineraries we have seen so far is a batch of 354 MME's shipped to Newark, New Jersey out of Veracruz via the vessel Grande Torino, departing Veracruz on 10/9 and arriving Newark on 10/24. Only one forum member, @mkhuffman, has received a positive confirmation that his car had arrived Newark waiting for delivery to his dealer.

Looks like it’s Pending in Delaware still…Welp, the waiting game continues. No car today…I expected it wouldn’t be delivered today but, I have to admit, I’m still a little deflated.

The way Origin and Destination are shown on palsapp.com is somewhat misleading: initially the Origin listed is the end of rail transport, which is New Castle, DE for you and me; once the train rolls into Kansas City, Origin changes to Kansas City and Destination changes to Norfolk Southern Voltz Yard. Your order's status looks exactly like mine, as well as a number of others in the region with similar production dates.

You car may very well be in Newark, NJ. I am hoping that mine is, but haven't been able to get a Vehicle Visibility Report out of my salesperson.

@mkhuffman 's car has a production date over a month after yours and mine (along with over a dozen others in the Philadelphia area; I just looked at inbound MME's within a 50-mile radius and grabbed VIN's with the last five digit sequence number around mine). The most likely explanation is that all these cars were sent offsite during the chip hold, and once they were completed the batch were sent off to the Port of Veracruz. Because the freight bills for Jack Cooper and United Road were generated before our cars were even assembled, they become meaningless if Ford decides to take a different shipping route. For cars that were built and shipped within a few days, they continue to be sent to Kansas City for distribution, those with a ship date over 3 weeks after yours have already passed through Kansas City and are on their way to New Castle - the difference there is that they were never delayed by a chip hold.

If you can get a Vehicle Visibility Report out of your dealer for the last known location of your car, then you will know for sure if it is in Newark.

To emphasize @Accord07's point, palsapp still shows my car as "pending" even though it never was loaded on a train to KC, and is now sitting in the Port of Newark. So as he said, Jack Cooper only moves cars from the end of the KC line to another rail line, and since Ford uses multiple car carriers besides Jack Cooper, even if your car goes to KC, Jack Cooper might not be the one that moves it. So you may never see an update on the Jack Cooper palsapp site.

Here is what palsapp shows for my car (that is in Newark right now):

I’ll reach out to my dealership today. Thank you for the additional insight.

So I got a Union Pacific railcar number from my dealer today. The last item on the VVR says "Shipped Rail - Railcar # TTGX697676 (UnionPacific Railroad)" October 21, 2021
When I try to trace that railcar number, it's hard to understand exactly what it's saying. It sounds like "Loaded, Constructively Placed, November 2nd).
According to Union Pacific (https://www.up.com/customers/glossary/a-c/index.htm), "Constructive Placement" means, "When, due to some inability on the part of the consignor or consignee, a car cannot be placed for loading or unloading at a point previously designated by the consignor or consignee it is placed elsewhere. It is then considered as being under Constructive Placement and subject to demurrage, rules and charges, the same as if it were actually placed at the designated point. "
So what the heck does that mean? Is it not really on the rail car? Is it just sitting somewhere in KC still? Was it "constructively placed" somewhere else along the route?

Mine is almost the same as yours. I ordered March 17, Built Sept 14 and shipped Sept 15. Estimated deliver to dealer in Illinois is October 11-17 but we still have not received it. Pals app says "pending" with Origin to Kansas City. I spoke with the dealer 2 weeks ago and they told me that it shipped Sept 24, either way we still have not received it. I plan on calling them this week to follow-up.

Does the VVR show anything useful?

Calling for my rail car number still says ir was unloaded and returned by customer on August 2 in Big Lift, CO. Another forum member tracked my car to Winslow, AZ on Monday morning, then Barstow, CA yesterday morning. ?‍♂?

I spoke with the dealer sales manager and had me on hold for easily about 5 min. when he came back he said it is on its way and expected to be delivered the week of November 14. I asked if he had the railroad info and he said he doesn't have that. I don't know why he wouldn't have it. I also asked if he can tell when it shipped and he said mid October. So if it did ship mid October it should be here mid November. Crossing my fingers it is delivered the week of Nov. 14. KC is next state over, about 9 hour drive from KC to the dealer. So if it does come through Jack Cooper, I am hoping it's delivered early in the week.
BTW as of yesterday I am not able to track my MME through the Fords website, when I put in my information and click on "Accept & Track" it just refreshes the screen and takes me back to a clear screen. I am hoping it's doing that because it's in the middle of an update. I am still able to see it through seg.fyi which shows no changes.

I've been having this issue for over 2 weeks. When I spoke with Ford Marketing they said they're doing updates because people were seeing other people's orders. Which is sometimes true.

However I've been able to sometimes get around it via using a VPN & a fresh/private browser.
