Ford vehicle locater says our MME Premium was delivered to the dealership (Bozeman) & to direct inquiries to them, but they don't have it In their possession. It seems to be stuck at the rail yard in Laurel (Billings) since 10/21.

Dealer checked VVR & it says there is a manufacturer’s QC hold & won’t even release it to the dealer. Dealer does not know why.

Build date: 9-11-21
Ship date: 9-14-21
Arrived Argentine ramp: 9-27-21 (Kansas City)
Arrived Laurel, MT: 10-21-21

Another poster heard that QC may be code for damaged. Either way, we have no idea what the hold-up is, no idea when to arrange a flight to pick it up & sure don’t want to wait for snow season.

Partner on this quest is slowly changing her mind.

Ok now you’re speaking my language. What guitar did you buy that took 2 years? I got a Fender mod shop built and delivered in like 3 months
mine was built by an ex marine that lives out in the california desert. he and his wife do the guitars from scratch, he cuts the necks, bodies, all of it, by hand. honestly it wouldn't have taken 2 years if i hadn't put it on hold during the fluhan virus.
has a fat neck, fralin split blades, and a fishman piezo bridge for the acoustic toans. ebony board, spruce top, alder back. flamed maple neck.

You, my friend, made a wrong turn. This is the room for the grumpy old people. You need to go down the hall to Room 420. You will have an opportunity to play your custom guitar, smoke some herbal "medications" and debate the meaning of life. The rest of us just want our damn car. I'm at 20+ months myself.

That’s a beauty of a tele!
I’m currently working though a build of my own based on a PRS. It needs a lot more sanding, staining and finishing but it’s getting close

People please. I'm trying to be grumpy here. Not making me want to spend more money on guitars and other gear. Also what the hell why are there so many guitarists here?! I was just on Kiesel's site yesterday building guitars I have no intention of buying in the near future.

mmm raspberry. great top on that. is that the output jack hole behind the lower bridge mount and presumably the tone pot? or is that a kill switch for the evh tunes? I once veneer topped a jaguar in a similar raspberry, but black bursted it at the edges.

looks great, are you planning on sanding it back and adding a black layer for depth?

No the configuration is a wraparound bridge in lieu of a traditional tailpiece bridge and to the right are the two pots, below it is the hole for the pickup switch. Classic PRS 24 design. The Jack is in the heel of the guitar.

The quilted maple is actually going to be fading into several colors if I can do the burst right. That raspberry is actually the second color. I’m eventually going for a tigers eye burst

<snip>
OK I am grumpy because I am a *terrible* guitarist and I only have a cheap, mass-produced acoustic from the early ‘70s. ??

Oh, and the fact that my paws don’t quite fit the neck. Maybe that’s why I’m so terrible. ???
