It's been a week since my car was supposedly "shipped". The waiting is killing me.

that is all
It can be a long, bumpy ride. Hang on... We're here for each other.

I'm honestly at the point where now I wish people in my personal life would stop asking if I've gotten it yet

I received the "Complete your purchase" e-mail from Ford this morning, so I reached out to the dealer. They don't have the car yet and said it's supposed to be transported from Ashfork AZ and could arrive any day/time. The train from Winslow to Ashfork (108 miles) took 5 days, but no telling how long to fill a truck and drive it the last 123 miles to Chandler. Maybe tomorrow!
This should be my last day of being grumpy. The car arrived at the dealer a couple hours after the above post. It arrived with 4 other MMEs on the same transport. We had tickets to a show, but decided to try to close the deal and take our beautiful new MME home before the show. When we arrived at the dealer, there were more MMEs than I had seen on the streets of Phoenix in the past 7 months! The buyers were all there wrapping up their deals. Side note, the dealership is undergoing renovations, so they have almost no EV charging available. All those MMEs were being sent home with 40-50% charge.

Took a quick drive to make sure there were no obvious issues (loved it), then went in to start the dealer's process. They were prepared with the X-Plan paperwork, which was a relief, and they showed my deposit on the paperwork. Then they asked about financing. I told the sales rep that we wanted to use Ford Options in order to get the $1000 incentive, and I got a blank stare. She left and returned with a sheet showing the financing options for our VIN, and of course, Ford Options was not listed. On the third round of my insistence that it is a valid financing option from Ford, she finally "found" the Ford Options information, but the paperwork was entered with a 4.25% APR. I said it should be 2.25% and she said that the rate would be finalized later with the finance manager. About an hour later, with just 45 minutes before we had to be at the theater, I walked out because they refused to budge on the APR, even showing me their Ford Options Workbook which allows for up to 2.5% dealer up-charge. It was very obvious to me that the finance department did not want to do the Ford Options financing. Until dealerships change the way they incent their sales and finance teams, we are all doomed to experience this awful, stressful, degrading system.

Needless to say, I was very grumpy! Nearly had a stroke! We got to the theater with time to spare. Before the show started, the finance manager called. He said he talked to the GM and learned that they were changing their policy on Ford Options and that he would have the paperwork ready for me in the morning with the 2.25% APR. At least now I could relax enough to enjoy the show.

Now I know exactly where my car is, so no more obsessively checking all the trackers throughout the day. By tonight, our precious Anponio V (successor to the original Anponio [a forest green 1995 Mustang coupe]) will be safely filling the empty space in our garage.

I'm glad that I don't have that big of a social life. So not many people know.

I initially bought it as a surprise for my wife (40th bday) but I couldn't keep it in so i spilled the beans. I'm glad I did though cause now she's excited.

Now it'll just be a surprise to our friends when they see her rollin in her new car!

Do you need a second wife? We can move to Utah if need be. I mean, granted, if you like 6'3, bald wives with beards

I only placed my order 20 days ago. Yet it feels like an eternity. Man, am I in trouble with this wait. ?

HAH I'm not sure I could handle a 2nd wife!

Also there's only room for 1 6'3 bearded member in this family! Except instead of a bald head I have a mullet.

I look, surprisingly, a lot like Travis Fimmel, from Raised by Wolves
As long as you don't have any weird floating lampreys around, I'm ok with it
