Ah, so the secret comes out....I pass out around blood. 2nd game freshman year in college I had someone punch through my facemask and break my nose. I was coming off the field and pulled my helmet off, wiped my face and dropped out cold still on the field. We must have replayed that dozens of time in film study the next monday. No bat for me. Besides, I'm too happy to see Dave satisfied right now to even think of it.

Ok fine.

I'm mostly deaf. I wear a prosthetic that allows me to hear but since I'm bald, people stare at me like I'm a freak. That's my truth for the day.

Not yet! I don't have delivery yet.

For the record though, seg.fyi, my Ford profile and the Ford tracker all show delivered. My dealer hasn't called me nor have I received a "delivered" email from Ford, but my profile does say "complete your purchase"
Fuck man, the first thing I would have done is called my dealer and said "Yo MF'er internet says my car is here, I'm on my way over"

Honestly, I think @Plutoman15 has you beat by a month, if I remember correctly
I was built 9/15. ETA was last week the whole time, then just moved to next week... :\ Worse yet is the car is in town at my local Ford plant, off the rail, for last 3 weeks. Just sitting there mocking me.

Dave, do you have a Cochlear implant? My high school girlfriend was deaf in one ear, and as a school teacher really struggled until she got one of those and it transformed her life.

I have a scleral buckle on my left eye from a retina detachment in 1995, a plate (now loose) in my left shoulder from a bad car accident in 1998 and in 2018 got my right knee replaced. Amazed at what they can do with technology. Oh, and 2 artificial lenses due to all the eye surgeries. 20 ortho surgeries to date and my ortho (Bronco's team doctor) now lets me have coffee the morning of surgery as it makes me a nicer person.

I'll bet you are just like Ralphie in Christmas Story with his Red Ryder bb gun under the tree right now? Or are you more like his father with is "Fragile" Italian lamp. Or this:

Close, its a BAHA implant (Bone Anchored Hearing Aid). There are two different types of hearing loss. Without going fully clinical, mine is called Sensorineural hearing loss. Basically it means that I have conductive hearing (hearing through bone vibration) but the nerve that goes from my ear to my brain is dead. So, the implant connects to a titanium abutment that is quite literally drilled 4mm into my skull. The implant takes sound and translates it to a vibration, the same frequency that the bones in your ear transmit to the nerve. Since it feeds that signal into my skull, and I still have conductive hearing, my brain interprets that vibration as sound. Pretty neat tech if you ask me.

Excitement level though, is through the roof. I think when it gets here, I'll morph into Italian leg lamp protective of it lol

So, good news, bad news.......

Dealer called me and he confirmed the car has been delivered. BUT, he got confirmation because it got delivered to a dealership 3 hours away. Apparently someone at Ford fat fingered the delivery code and put the other dealer instead of mine, even though the sticker had my dealer name. The options are sending someone up there to drive it down to us here (which I selected) or waiting 4-5 days for a flatbed that can go get it.

Now I know why my United Road tracking said Leonardtown Ford. So, if anyone out there checks their United Road tracking and its NOT your dealership, get on the phone and fix it.

Option 3, go with "someone" to drive it back yourself!

Ha! If I didn't have a lot of appointments tomorrow, I'd consider that, but in my field these appointments bring in the money
