I think this first run RHD versions are only for us. I seem to remember seeing somewhere that the first years run is only for US and 5 in EUR
Hoping the factory can assemble RHD on the same line as the LHD ??

Wow Grahame, you're a much more optimistic person than I am, for sure. I view that response as "complete rubbish" (as you all like to say in UK). They basically blew you off and gave you a generic response that means nothing.
Similar rubbish to what we started to get about 1 month before orders started here.

So in a slightly hilarious turn of events, after my rant on the forum this weekend, I got this email this morning from Ford UK....

It doesn't say much - it could just be a coincidence - but maybe looks like they are taking notice of feedback, and for that I am grateful.

Spooky!

To be fair its still a sh!t comm with no real detail and very short and sweet. Im Hoping that when they do start to take notice of how dis-engaged they’ve been with their customers that there comms are more enthralling/detailed/engaging than this. We can live in hope eh?! ?

Yes, those of us in the US received emails with absolutely no new information right before our ordering opened up, too.

I've been thinking all along that our order book would open in August. Hopefully we are following you. I do think that Ford US are calling the shots at the moment. ??

Probably. Either Dearborn or Cuautitlan. We just don't know for sure where the scheduling is taking place.

We've not had any snippets from Cuautitlan recently which is a bit worrying. Thought they were running the line this month. Really need some real information

There has been a lot of discussion on another thread regarding those in the NL getting a discount on their cars because the delay due to covid means they are going to have to pay more for their lease because of their governments financial incentives. Shame.
I think I will make a submission to Ford UK to reduce the price of my car because due to the fact I am unlikely to get delivery before March 2021, the car I was going to offer as part exchange will have lost about £1000 in partex value and I will have to get it serviced and MOT'd costing me in the region of £400. It wouldn't surprise me that in his autumn budget the chancellor makes more changes to the PICG as well, so that will be more expense that I wouldn't have had before. Anyone else want to join me. I think I know how far I will get with that. ? ??

I'm in similar situation.
My PCP ending end of the year, this was one of the reasons to choose MME.
Now I have 2 options.
To pay about 2000 £ till march, about 400£ for service and MOT,
Probably need to change tyres for another 600-700£. All together about 3000£ will cost me the MME delay.
The second option - to return the car in Ford dealer, pay excess miles and stay without car for few months.
For them no matter that both cars are Ford from official Ford dealer.

Disappointing response from Ford e sales following a request for an indicative date for opening of Uk orders.

Good Afternoon

I hope you are doing well and keeping safe.

Orders are looking towards the end of the year with more information coming soon.

Kindest Regards

Ford Online Sales Team

Maybe they are as much in the dark as us.
