I have a reservation with Pines Lincoln Ford in Pembroke Pines, Florida. I never heard from them. I called three times. Was told I would
receive a call back, never did. Finally I called and spoke to the general manager, Erica on 8/21. She told me that they are going to charge $2000 over the msrp. I am not going to do that. I have purchased Lincoln vehicles from them in the past. I told her I have been a customer over the years, and she just dismissed me.
I am looking to find another dealer in Florida, preferably the S. Florida area.
How can I switch to a different dealership?

Sincerely,
Harvey

I started a new order on Ford's web site and picked a dealer near your current one, Plantation Ford. They are selling at MSRP (no markup).

So you'll want to call Ford corporate and request them to transfer your reservation to your new preferred dealer. Maybe call Plantation (or whichever place you prefer) to confirm that you are comfortable working with them before you do this.

Ford's number for transferring reservations is listed in their online order T&C's:

Telephone
800-392-3673 (Ford U.S.)
800-232-5952 (TDD for the hearing impaired)
Available M-F 8:00 am - 11:00 pm ET
Available Sat. 8:00 am – 8:00 pm ET

Greed kills another sale. When will these dealers learn? ?

Not only greed - but it seems part of the issue was the inability to respond in a timely manner. It’s as if these dumb dealerships don’t want to make money.

This. More than the ADM attempts even, this is what soured me on most of the Hawaii dealers (not all though).

Thank you for posting this. I placed an order at the same dealership and was floored by the additional $2k. I also spoke with Erica. She said that the dealership owner had agreed, that day, to lower the add on to mrsp from $5k to $2k and that he wouldn’t budge any further. The only reason I spoke with her was because Ford sent an email saying that I had to pay my deposit, by the next day! I called the dealership and the first couple of people didn’t even know what the Mach-e was. I’ve bought a couple of cars here, but I think no more....

So now this dealer has lost two customers. They are clueless! This is what happens when you don't pay attention to the fact that people have access to more information these days. We can do so much research online, they can't snow us any more!

Just went to the website for the Pines & had this chat:

CHAT TRANSCRIPT:
Jennifer (09/15/20 22:38:46 pm): I'm online and happy to help! May I have your name please? ?
Guest (09/15/20 22:38:46 pm): I just wanted to see the dealership that was charging the extra $2000 for the new Mustang MachE
Jennifer (09/15/20 22:38:46 pm): Hi my name is Jennifer. It’s great to have you with us!
Jennifer (09/15/20 22:39:59 pm): I would be happy to help you with a new Ford Mustang Mach-E. Are you looking to purchase or lease?
Guest (09/15/20 22:40:53 pm): I will not be buying from a dealership that charges the extra fees. I found one that doesn't. Tell your sales manager I am on a chat site and they have lost at least 2 good customers from what I am seeing there.
Jennifer (09/15/20 22:42:34 pm): Thank you for your feedback. Is there anything else I can do for you?
Guest (09/15/20 22:42:43 pm): Nope
Jennifer (09/15/20 22:42:57 pm): Thank you for visiting us. Have a great day!

Mary,

It's most likely Jennifer's photo or name weren't accurate. Could this be the real Jennifer?

Yeah, I am pretty sure it wasn't a real "Jennifer" I was talking to. I was sort of startled when "she" popped up. I just thought I would do some trash talking. Lot's of crazy there.
