The range of the Polestar 2 is almost the same as my Model 3 SR+. I did 590km yesterday in 6,5 hours from Germany (near Nuremberg) to Vienna with 2 stops (Hengesberg and St.Valentin) with consumption 156 Wh/km (spent 92 kWh). I had between 160-170 Wh/km at 130km/h speed. So my range is at least 300 km at highway speed in summer. After 11 months and 18.500 km is my total consumption 164 Wh/km.

Here the video
To compare I use an average of 143 Wh/km with my Smart EV which is Ă  lot lighter! Hope that MME will get the same number or berger.

Come on guys, VW's are there to make business (money), they want to sell their cars anywhere in the world. It is normal in of point of view "business" to fill the countries around their production plan because the freight cost in a lot lower and their customers would be not happy it hey were deliver many thousand miles away in first, it will be the same for Ford!
Oh yeah, I was (mostly) just joking. VW will be thrilled to sell their cars here just as much as anywhere else. Money is money.

That translates to 4.35 miles/kWh. With an 88 kWh (ER) usable battery, that would be 382 miles of range. That's probably a real stretch when they're advertising 300 mile range (RWD).

Maybe someone can squeeze that out for slow city-only driving. But unfortunately that's not usually where range matters.

Bolt just started doing it in 2019, maybe due to consumer demand. I think it really depends on how ford utilizes the buffer. If they use a 11% buffer and Tesla uses a 1% buffer, is there a difference between a Ford 100% and a Tesla 90%?

While I do not disagree, I think the idea Ford was looking for new customers who would "commit" to the higher-priced FE now rather than a (still considerably expensive) lower-priced Premium later.

Personally I might have considered offering the available FE's and colors in reservation order number starting with those who reserved immediately after the FE orders initially filled for those still holding reservations/orders. Give them a day (or whatever) to make up their minds and roll it down. Such as, "We have a few FE's available in the following colors only (List) ... etc." But I'm a retired airline pilot, I do nor run a car company.

My understanding is that hill top reserve was to leave room to Regen down a hill. Not necessarily to stop you from charging full.

Accomplishes the same thing for different reasons. 1 recommends to use if you park on a hill, the other is to prevent battery degradation. The default SoC is different for both companies.

I did the opposite of this thread, sort of, I had a Model Y performance incoming to tide me over for the late summer delivery of my GT order. After reading recent user experience on quality and repair issues, and seeing for myself up close, I decided nope and will cancel that little idea and just wait. It's really quite alarming how bad quality control really is at Tesla. It is worse than I had imagined. You buy the tech and range, not the car.

We're awaiting that answer. What we don't know is how the 11% buffer is distributed between the high and low ends. It may be fine to charge the Mach E to 100% if it isn't really 100%. We'll have to see if they tell us, someone else figures it out, or we have to figure it our for ourselves.

Prove me wrong and still be making them in 5 years with a dash board, not a computer screen hung off the dash.
I have to agree that the hanging tablet on the dash is the biggest complaint I have with the interior. It's just crying out to be smacked and broken and it really looks dorky to just have it hanging there. Same applies to the Teslas.

The screen integration is the one thing I think Caddy got right with the Lyriq:
