Why was this only just posted today? ? My car is in for both recalls and the customer Satisfaction update. I get it back tomorrow after 3 days. Fingers crossed that this nightmare doesn’t happen. The dealer actually told me mine was the first one.

I never planned on taking my car for this recall for precisely this reason. I'll forever live with the recall alert in FordPass.
Same here, or at least until there's a good number of these being done at my local dealership. It's things like what the original poster has experienced that scare the crap out of me.

The panoramic glass roof isn't even supposed to be removed to perform the recall.
I wonder if that dealer also removes the seats in order to rotate the tires?
Not completely true there. It might have to get removed but the recall is to first check does is everything OK and if something is wrong remove and reseal it.

I just heard from my dealer they might need my car for a week and may need to remove the headliner. Anyone else have their headliner removed for the recall? I am upset.

Welp, there's 13,000+ that need the recall. I think I'll wait until ~10,000 before I send mine in.

Have an 'appointment' for either next week or the following. When they call to confirm, I'll ask who does the work, but I'm still hesitant.

I took mine in yesterday and checked in today they said they may need to remove the whole headliner and it could be there a full week.

The actual recall paperwork shows them pulling it away from the pano, but doesn't say they need to actually remove it.

/the recall paperwork may not reflect the actual work needed. It's just a suggestion..?

I had mine done last week, they said they HAVE to remove the pano roof and headliner... I told them the workbook steps show otherwise, but they insisted. It went fine.

I am going to wait on this until they have more experience. I LOVE the Pano roof and have my toll sticker on the inside of my windshield. No issues with either one right now.

Those pictures make me want to cry. So far, I've received neither notice for recall, so I'm hoping my unit is clear of the trouble.

Of course, it would be nice to have it back from the body shop, now in its third week there for a 2 mph accident, but at least I don't have to have her can-opened I guess.

We were lucky. Jan 21 build date. Pano and windshield perfectly aligned. No wind noise. There is no way I am having this recall done unless I have issues.

That's pretty much just professional negligence... if they didn't have the tools or skills, they should not have done the work. It sucks that it happened, but I'd be really surprised if you have to argue much to have it made better than new for free. Keep in mind that cumulative loss of use is also a trigger for Lemon Law, so keep track of the days it's in the shop to get this fixed - you might end up with a new car.
