I played Ford's game, my dealer set up my order for the FE with the first MachDrop via Idris Elba. He said he wasn't sure if I would get the FE upgrade for sure... so I filled out the UNCREAT form, got the email I was selected and received a call from MachDrop. While talking to them I let her know that my dealer submitted an order over the email, and she said I was selected for both Idris Elba and UNCREAT. (I never win anything... so I guess this made up for that)

I got all the info on this forum, so anyone paying attention had a legit chance to get the FE upgrade.
Better watch out for those that will say that you have two reservations now and hogging FEs. ?

I still can't believe all this crap. I got through within moments of the first mach drop going out. The women on the phone was super excited for me and said she would take care of everything with my dealer. Talked to my dealer at the end of the day and they knew nothing, heard nothing. When the second drop happened, I called again and this time it was a voice mail saying to leave your info and they would call back within 24 hours. 48 hours later, nothing. Dealer still in dark. Started pinging Ford on Twitter and Instagram and got a response saying they were escalating it to the mach drop team. days later, still no response. Filled out the uncrate form. Got a confirmation in email saying they would call within 24 hours. No response. Talked again to my dealer today and sent him the dealer information that was posted here. Hopefully he can make something happen. This is just crazy.

My dealer is no longer responding to email or phone calls. I'm about ready to just cancel my order and wait and see what comes out next year, like the Rivian and ID.4. My stress level is getting too high with all the BS.

Take this for what it is worth, pure speculation based on my own personal observations which I share without making promises to random strangers in the internet.

It is my understanding (which continues to shift) that:

1) these extra FE vehicles were vehicles already in plans for building for use as part of a marketing allocation. I'm not sure what the initial plan was, but generally think they would be used for showing off, building interest, maybe raffled/auctioned/whatever.

2) based on the current situation globally, many of these planned marketing activities have changed. Marketing still had allocation of these vehicles and decided to try their hand at viral social media marketing (with debatable results)

3) these will be built as FE, which will be built first. They are also relatively limited (not making more. When they are out, they are out) no second run, no one in the parking lot spray painting calipers.

4) based on current schedules starting in late October, with oktb in late November, all XXXX FE for NA should be completed, shipped and ready for customers in December (maybe not AK/HI)
Sounds about right. My understanding matches yours with the additional remark that Regional Ford reps reached out to dealerships the week before the Mach Drop exercise to see if any existing customers were interested in switching their Premium order to a First Edition.

That is how I was able to get one the week before the Mach Drop was announced. If my dealer hadn't sent me an urgent text then I would have missed out. I dont do Twitter, Facebook and Instagram so the Mach Drop would be ineffective for me.

Try again and choose a new dealer. Tell them both that the one who gets you an order first wins.

Try again and choose a new dealer. Tell them both that the one who gets you an order first wins.
Finally - the dealership indicated they are sending the order in, took deposit over the phone

I had no problem getting one a day or so ago by calling the number. Maybe less complaining and more dialing the 844 number would have been better.
If that actually worked you wouldn't hear all the complaining. Two calls to the published number and emails to the EV Manager at the local dealer who has my Premium order have resulted in zero.

We had an FE reserved but when it came to convert to an order, we wanted the Premium due to the white interior and RWD Ext. Range. I'm sure there are others that did the same or aren't ordering the FE the reserved for whatever reason. This leaves FE's reserved, but not going to be ordered. I'm not sure if anyone outside of Ford would know how many of us FE's res. holders dropped or changed models, but i'm glad they didn't just reduce the FE production from our changed/canceled orders and gave others an opportunity to get one.

Update:
I called the Mach Drop number once more, and talked to Julie again. She called the dealer again and also the general manager, and left detailed info on voice mails on how to do this. Lo and behold, I received an email from the GM with the buyer agreement to sign and return! My squeaky wheel action worked and I am a step closer to getting the FE now. My blood pressure has returned to normal again...

Julie gave me a lot of info on the Mach Drop situation, and it was as others here have described. One thing I did not understand is there are 3 separate drops, first Instagram, then Uncrate, then Spotify starts tomorrow.

I got this back just now from the dealer:

I have forwarded the purchase agreement to Julie in the MachDrop department. I will let you know if anything else is needed or if I receive any further communication. I know that they want to get all the upgrade requests completed by the first of September and they hope to open the order bank in mid-September. ?:cool:?
