Can’t Set Home Address - Doesn’t Exist

I just got my Mach E yesterday. On the drive home, I couldn’t locate my address, so I finally just gave up. This morning, with the vehicle parked outside, it shows it’s location geographically correct, however the address it shows is completely wrong. If I pull up that address on any Google Maps, Apple Maps, TomTom, other vehicles…it shows a neighborhood 2 miles away. I went into the vehicle and searched for a bunch of address in my neighborhood and none exist correctly. Now this is a newer community, but my place is 3 years old. It showed up in my 2016 F-150 after I updated the GPS maps over two years ago. This is a large community with hundreds and hundreds of homes, right near the turnpike in a populated area. The street lines are all there. Everything shows on the map. But everything is labeled incorrectly.

I have to put a completely fictitious address it’s determined is the only “real” address”.

I’ve done a lot of digging and this does not seem to be Garmin like most people are saying. It’s HERE maps. I went on HERE maps, in dark mode, and it’s literally the same interface as the vehicle. Even says the whole “Where To?” Thing in the corner. The address errors are an exact match to HERE maps.

That should be good news actually because the entire in vehicle maps seems to be streaming live data, so there shouldn’t be a huge wait for corrections coming only in a factory update from ford. I’ve submitted changes on HERE, and we’ll see. They also have a creator mode I’ve been working on which lets you edit stuff and it gets reviewed and approved. I can’t do my whole neighborhood, there’s way too many missing pieces, even roads. HERE has to get this done.

Was it a minor change? Mine is truly the entire neighborhood and all streets around it. There are hundreds of missing and wrong addresses and street names.

Are you sure you aren't living in a simulation and your house doesn't actually exist? Just saying, it's possible

Minor change. There was a business associated with an address down the street from me. The guy died in 2014 so the business was gone. Every time I stared my car away from home, it proposed that business as my destination.

I‘d suggest you enter the correct info for your home in Here. Maybe that will prompt them to update your neighborhood once they review your submission. Worth a shot.

Minor change. There was a business associated with an address down the street from me. The guy died in 2014 so the business was gone. Every time I stared my car away from home, it proposed that business as my destination.

I‘d suggest you enter the correct info for your home in Here. Maybe that will prompt them to update your neighborhood once they review your submission. Worth a shot.

I did. I mentioned I did some digging, updated it and sent a note and working more on the streets in their builder as I have time. Hopefully it’s not a year or two though.

My Mach E initally kept insisting that my address didn't exist and showed the last digit in the address as being a "one" instead of a "zero". Houses with odd numbers are on the other side of the street. The car also wouldn't allow me to set up home charging parameters because it didn't think it was "home" when parked in my garage. Several days later all these problems self-corrected without me doing anything.

That’s hopeful to hear. But my Mach E and HERE maps both agree my whole neighborhood doesn’t exist with the streets it does. I literally can’t even enter my home address as it does not show as an existing address, regardless of if it’s physically in the right location.

Does it really matter though? Do you really need directions all the way to your driveway? (Unless it needs it for charging location but I don’t think so)

Well, it doesn’t even have my major street. For 60k, I should be able to save addresses In a state of the art 15.5” touchscreen system yes.
But directions are not the point. Of course I don’t need directions to my door lol. Addresses and locations are used heavily in the Mach E system. Charging preferences, comfort preferences, etc.
