Hello All,

I have been lurking on the forum for sometime, but had a question I haven't seen answered yet. I ordered a 2021 Mach E in April 2021. At the time the Ford Website was down as they were making tweaks to the system, so I ordered through my dealership directly (Knowing how long wait times were). I am quickly learning that this made tracking my car near impossible, as I am not in the normal system of receiving email alerts from Ford at all. All my information is strictly through my dealership, as for some reason Ford was never able to associate the order with my online account.

Fast forward to October, I get an email from my dealer that my order is going to be converted to a 2022, and there is a $600 price increase (Bluecruise). I see on the forum many folks that were converted as I was receiving an email from Ford explaining the "You didnt lose your place in line, and here is a $750 rebate for increased costs."

Since I am not linked through FordPass ordering process as my order was through the dealer, I never received the email. I reached out to my dealer about this, and they tell me there is no rebate, and that they are standing firm on the $600 price increase. They told me to reach out to Ford on the issue but basically said "Good Luck".

My question, has anyone else on here went through this where the order was not through the website? I have no idea who at @Ford Motor Company to contact if that is the correct route. Back in May I had a futile attempt to link the car with Ford Media, so my order is still for me but through the dealership.

Thank you for any help!

BTW Car supposedly be built this week, fingers crossed!

I originally went to my dealer and ordered, they called a couple weeks later and said I had to do it online and they were able to link it to my original in dealer order.

Your understanding is flawed, @SoCal_MachE .

Your first order didn't include BlueCruise. When BlueCruise became available, you would pay $600 for it.

After a certain date, roughly mid-June, Ford increased the price of the car by $600, and when BlueCruise is ready, those people won't pay anymore.

In short, no price increase.

In October, Ford converted some 2021 orders to 2022s, and raised the price. Those people were given a $750 incentive credit, which your dealer MAY be able to find in the SmartVincent system. The price of the car went up by less than $750, so it was a net lower price.

In the last week or so, the price on the cars being made has gone up, but there is Price Protection on the 2021s that became 2022s.

Ask your dealer to look you up in the Smart Vincent system, and they may find the $750 rebate.

I think this all adds up to what I have from my dealer, I may have been mistaken on the increase being Bluecruise and instead just it being the difference from 2021-2022. The overall increase on the invoice sheet was $595.

Thank you for the help on the rebate, I will try again with my dealership. A bit of blood from a rock...

Hi,
I thought I would share my experience as I also ordered through a dealership rather than online. When I submitted my order at the dealership in August 2021, I was given a paper copy of the order. In addition, I received an email from Ford Motor shortly thereafter that my order was "approved" and in the system. As mentioned in one of the posts above, I received the email from Ford Motor in October 2021 that my MY 2021 was changed to MY 2022. It also indicated that there was a price increase but that the $750 credit was being provided as an offset. The email also stated that the dealership would be reaching out to me to confirm my order configuration. That never happened so I called the dealership and I was told by the sales rep that they needed to do something on their end to ensure my order was correctly moved to MY 2022, which I believe was correctly completed. I haven't received any additional information from the dealership or Ford. I did call Ford Motor Customer Service recently just to see if they had visibility to my order and they did tell me that they could see it but could not provide any additional information such as a build date, VIN #, etc.
