It looks like the consensus is that the three month slippage experienced by many of us is a mirage; to disappear by Monday morning according to one post. I hope they are right, and it's not just the Kool-aid talking.

I’ll keep my fingers crossed….it’s not like somebody from ford will let us know!

With cars built, and perhaps shipped, if this delay is real it sounds a lot like a recall pending, or as we hope it's just another example of how awful the tracking system is and it will be undone Monday.

Has anyone tipped the bloggers? We may get clarity a lot sooner if a few websites pick up the story...

I didn't think about a recall. The delays seem to be too random.

I emailed the dealer yesterday to get some info and they were not aware of the slip. They said they emailed Ford Corp and waiting to get some answers on Monday.

I'm also surprised that the bloggers haven't picked on on this. The headlines write themselves without hyperbole. And @FordMotorCompany would not like seeing them.

My estimated delivery went from Feb 9 to May 10. Went into production Jan 5. Had a long list of modules soon after. DMG Premium AWD ER. Batch 3372 233/630.

I'm sure anyone that would write about it is waiting to see if the dates hold after the weekend. Would be embarrassing to write about a 3 month slippage and then have to take it back. That could kill the credibility of any blogger... ?

Did any of the cars that got delayed already get a shipping notification from Ford? My delivery date is still holding up at 2/6/2022, but I did get a shipping notification soon after mine was built, so I'd say it's highly unlikely the car isn't finished.

I am wondering if you may be right about a soft recall. I don't feel like a chip shortage should cause a three month delay... a month maybe, but it shouldn't take THAT long for a company like Ford to get a few hundred chips, pop them in, and send the cars on their way.

@jonkMACHE ask your dealer to pull a VVR on your built VIN and that will verify if your MME is moving on a train and which depots it has moved through. Eventually palsapp will confirm that it has left KC on the next leg of the journey (but outside of Ford's tracking system).

Thanks, I've stopped scanning the recent posts page and just focusing on three specific threads (this being one).

Quite a thread. From "BURN IT DOWN FORD SUCKS" to "Y'all are a bunch of whiners, chill", the range of responses is full spectrum. I don't know if you can conclude that it's Algorithms Gone Wild and it'll get back to normal Monday. Heck, there may even be another reason, not mentioned, for the shift.

Nature abhors a vacuum; that thread proves it.

Just took a look at the Fisker Ocean. Except ordering that would most likely result in an even longer wait ?‍♂

Thoughtful, sane observation. Not speaking for myself, but the folks with unfilled orders are likely all over the spectrum of "need a car soon" to "willing to wait a year". The former can soon be looking at additional EV alternatives on dealer lots. Interesting dynamic to play out over the next several months. The folks that drop their orders will allow dealers to floor more inventory.
