Got this message over night. I’ve changed nothing, so not sure what would be causing the drain. My car is a May 21 build, so I believe there is a bulletin regarding this issue. My car also goes into deep sleep mode after around 12 hours of sitting. After a 5 day trip, it fortunately started with no issue, but I wasn’t able to remote start it or use any other remote function.

I have an appointment tomorrow for the windshield recall (no roof glass) and will raise this issue with the dealer as well. I’m also due for the 21P22 update, so I guess we’ll see how tomorrow goes!

Are you using a dashcam or any of the widgets that people have developed here?

I am not using anything at all.
Well get the updates done and it could very well just be a one off. There's many people, myself included that have had this alert and we safely ignored it. If it's continual then yes, it's something to worry about.

Got it, thanks! As long as it starts, I’m good with a random warning. The deep sleep issue is annoying though since it should be 14 days of inactivity and I drive mine daily.

Has there been concern that the widget causes power issues? Or cameras plugged into the OBD port?

In my experience the widget doesn’t do a vehicle refresh while it is off unless you force one, so that shouldn’t be an issue. There are some other ways you can set up an integration with your smart home where you can have it refresh more often, that would definitely use more power I guess

Forcing a refresh just makes it refresh the data it pulls down from the Ford servers. It doesn't force the car to do anything.

Actually it does queue the car up to report back it's status. I've tested this extensively. It's the same as if you do a refresh in FP and it's why there's about a 5 minutes delay. That delay is the round trip time it takes to query the car, have the car report back and populate the app or widget.

@Stang68 yes webcams do cause drain if they are running after the car is off. If they turn off with the car then no.

Forcing a refresh in FordPass or the widget have never forced the car to refresh its data for me. Maybe it's a Job 2 thing?

Yeah I’ve had it update data from the vehicle?

Usually in FP I have to refresh from the vehicle tab to get latest, unless it’s asleep

How would you know it doesn't? Not trying to be argumentative but there's nothing in the car that would indicate a refresh in progress.

The way I determined it was forcing a refresh was via monitoring the data transmission from the car. I'm looking for the screen shots that I know I provided to someone here.
