Repeated “Chargers Unreachable” alert in car

In the past few weeks I have begun receiving this notification: “Chargers Unreachable” followed by the instruction to plan to find a location to plug in. This occurs regardless of my current charge status and even when I am in proximity of a charging station. Indeed I just received this notification while the car was charging at Electrify America!!!

Anyone else experiencing this issue? I have not seen it mentioned.

Yup, got this too, seems to be a new bug with latest software or something, I’ve got it twice now a week apart with almost full charge

@macchiaz-o and I have been talking about this in DM's this morning. He thinks, and I would agree, that it's likely a cloud related issue where the MME isn't getting the list of chargers.

When it happened to me I was literally 20 feet from a DCFC station.

So I would just ignore it.

There is an option to disable range notifications in the settings of the map software. I am going to disable that, which should prevent the alert from happening. I don't use the built in nav for anything. However, if you use the built in navigation system then disabling it might prevent range notifications while traveling, so just be aware of that.

It probably just constantly monitors that. If @DevSecOps is right, it could be that it's failing to get the list of chargers close by it thinks you're hosed. As an example, if it thinks the closest charger is 500mi away it doesn't matter how much better you have, it's not enough

The alert is that there's no chargers in range of your DTE so even if you have a DTE of 300 miles it can't find any chargers within that range because it's not communicating with the cloud servers that tell it where the chargers are located.

Thanks, I’ve been meaning to ask this other question too, I feel like the nav used to show L2 chargers? All I can get it to show is DCFC now, or was I just misremembering it showing L2? I don’t have any filters on or anything.

That's not a Todd question ... I have never used the built in nav. I'm sure someone else here can comment on it though.

Just Started seeing this in my AWD ER Premium thought i was going crazy. But it make sense based on others replys here

My vehicle failed to charge last night. Thankfully FordPass let me know. (Just kidding. It didn't do squat.)

So when that no chargers nearby alert popped up, I assumed it determined that I'm getting a battery refill rate of 0 kW from the most recently used charger and that I have infinitely small amount of time to return to the next similar charger to fill up.

But then I heard from Todd and another person that they saw the same message.

So yeah, some sort of cloud issue.

The message reappeared several times during my drive to work this morning.

I just got it today. Big bug. Over 80% charged. Range on Nav map shows properly. Nearest EA chargers were about 10 miles away.

Edit - I told the car to navigate to a charger, and it brought up a list of every charger, including EA. So it knows there are chargers "within the driving range of the car".
