Hopped in the Smurfmobile this morning to head to work, and saw the little update in queue icon. Got to work, parked, and hit update now. I’ll let you know if I notice anything different.

Wouldn't it be nice if FordPass notified you that there was an update pending in the car, in case you weren't going to drive for a few days or longer?

If you have your schedule setup properly it will just install the update at the appropriate time.

Thus if you aren't driving your car for days on end one of those days you'll have the schedule set and it will just do it. Like this one did for mine--I still have the schedule set for 6:45am every morning and was a bit surprised when my phone beeped at 7am ish indicating it had updated.

The only benefit to the in car "update now" button is letting you install one a few hours earlier (or days if you have the update schedule only set for 1 day for instance).

Having said all that, however, when the updates fail Ford Pass does tell you to go to the car to see the "Update Now", "Reschedule", "Cancel" popup--it would be nice there if that was in the app so you didn't have to go to the car. Of course if that was in the app then there is no reason that they couldn't also put an event in "An update is scheduled for your car: 'Update Now', 'Reschedule', 'Cancel'"

I have a 7 day 1AM set and nothing since 2.3.

I am set to update daily at 2:00 am, as I am in bed by then, so it is safe for the car to be offline then. I was surprised that this update didn’t launch then, as it means this must have been pushed out after that time. So, when I got to work, I fired off the update now.

And that’s the frustrating thing for me - I’m in EA and, according to EA, enrolled in BlueCruise, but still no candy in my bag, just a rock ?

Hey one of the last two updates added the right bar to the dashboard messages:

The red bar on the right with the "Ok" indicator. (Well I hadn't noticed this before so I'm assuming its new...)

And here I thought they all did that since we have a Job 2 4X built 8/30 that’s always had that red bar with the ok button. I can’t imagine not being able to quickly clear those messages with a button push.
