Define fully installed and operational.

Pushed to everyone?

Available to everyone?

Pushed to all members of the Early Access program?

Pushed or available to some members of the EarlyAccess program?

Pushed to some members of the general Job 1 mach-e cars not in Early Access?
hmmm let's go through these... :)
Pushed to everyone ---- LOL no
Available to everyone... ---- are you kidding?
Pushed to all EA members... ----unlikely
Pushed to some... ----I think this could happen for one or two along with a declaration of victory press release.
Pushed to some job 1 not in EA... ----LOL

The reason Job 2 car owners should care about this is because if Ford can't push already written software in nearly a year... what makes you think anything of substance will ever come from OTA?

All you should need to do is turn it on on the website. It's free for 3 years.
It is On on the website, my car shows dashes instead of a date for hands-free
Ford Mustang Mach-E BlueCruise - Will it or won't it be fully installed and operational by 3/31/22 11:59:59PM EDT? 1646846898642

I've visited my dealer who confirmed the problem, have a case created with Ford, but most importantly I still need to convince myself that I want to do anything to fix it (or more accurately, how much effort I want to put into it. I was without my car for three days when it was in the dealership, and I didn't like it at all, definitely doesn't worth half an hour of driving hands-free once in a while)

There's always one... ;)

This is a car-specific poll. Totally self-centered. Me, me, me, not we, we, we.
Can’t answer it then Rick.

Some, maybe a lot, of non Ford internal lease vehicles will have it. Will it be pushed to everyone? Probably not. Just my opinion.

As for me? No, I won’t have it. Not on 3/31/2022 nor at any point in the future. There are no BlueCruise roads on this rock. So I won’t bother getting it. So in the me department? Nope, never rolling out.

I voted yes because I think it'll be installed on at least a handful of J1s. The folks like @JoeDimwit who are already on the EAVIP 2.4.2+ escalator. It won't be me. I missed that cutoff so I'm sitting at 2.4.1.

I agree. I do hope they're not striving for getting it installed in some Early Access vehicles, then they can claim they met their deadline. If it's not operational in all pre-2022 vehicles that are equipped for it by 3/31/22 (absent a few for mechanical / user issues), then the deadline was blown.

Of course all I care about is that it's operational in my car :p
That is EXACTLY what they are doing. Just as they delivered one Mustang Mach E to one customer in Texas in late December 2020 so that they could honestly say deliveries started in 2020, they’ll have 1 or two early access cars that are within walking distance of Dearborn engineers lit by midnight on March 31 so they can say that they’ve started BlueCruise deployment in the first quarter. Trust me - I know how program managers think. As long as they can claim success on the milestone, all is good in their world.

There are a lot of module programming differences between Job 1 and Job 2 cars. That takes time (apparently). BlueCruise software has probably been changed a bit as well.

Despite owning an early Job 1 car, I don’t have a horse in this race. I’ll not be getting BC as there’s literally no way to use it here and it’s physically impossible to drive but somewhere I could use it. I neglected to purchase the crush proof cabin and 8000 ft tall snorkel. ;)

Wrong. Go read carefully. Pretty sure they said “Staring in the first quarter of 2022” ?

Actually you will be getting the updates. And you should be able to see that you're ready to activate it, even if there's no where to use it and you decide not to activate it.

Wait, wut? They delivered a car in 2029 and then came back in time and said they did it in 2020?

Ford Mustang Mach-E BlueCruise - Will it or won't it be fully installed and operational by 3/31/22 11:59:59PM EDT? back to the futur

If 2.4.2 starts rolling out again reasonably soon, I think you’re going to find a lot more than a token 1 “I live near 1 American Rd in Dearborn “ job 1 cars with BlueCruise.

“If”

I’m pretty sure you could load it onto a 747 Freighter and go somewhere with BlueCruise roads ?

Exactly. Updates yes. I’ve gotten some of the BC lead-in OTAs. BC itself? Nope, not for me. That’ll be “interesting” to see how that portion is handled.
