Has anyone observed that when One pedal drive is engaged and the vehicle is about to come to complete stop, there is a jerk that rocks the vehicle front and back ?

I am seeing it on my 2021 Premium AWD vehicle, every single time when 1PD is stopping the vehicle.

I find it to be pretty smooth. Feathering the throttle for smooth deceleration can take a bit of practice. Your coordination with the brakes takes practice as well. What drive mode btw?

Keep practicing.
What do I need to practice? One Pedal drive is totally controlled by car's mechanism , right?

So when 1PD is engage, I just take my foot off the accelerator and let the car do it's work to get the vehicle to complete stop. Towards the end of the this exercise is when I feel that jerk.

Am I doing something wrong?

Deceleration is totally fine. It is towards the total end of the stop when I feel that Jerk. I have not used brakes at all, so far ( did not have to). This is with Whisper drive mode.

Don't just take your foot off the accelerator. Just like you don't always floor it when you want to go, you shouldn't take your foot right off when you want to stop. Both take some feathering to keep things smooth.

Gotcha. I will try this and see the behavior. Thank You!

yeah, 1PD definitely takes some practice to get it smooth.

there's also been some talk around the very end of the stopping experience being changed with an OTA but I forget which OTA or even where I saw that.

The "braking" one--of course I forget which one. The one that required the car to be off for (so 2.4.2 I think?)

The jerk is the real brakes kicking in. Usually mine is smooth but sometimes it happens. Newer buildings cars have newer ABS module programming which has improved it some.

You gotta get used to feathering the pedal, you’ll enjoy 1PD way more! I use it exclusively.
