I don't think us "drop" order customers will see any email. Has any drop customer managed to get the FE drop order listed online at Ford?
Nope. My dealer inquired for me and this was the response he received from “headquarters”:

“Per feedback from our support staff, these orders as part of the Mach Drop program, will be placed by Ford from the backend and as the order goes through the Build process, you will get communicated to via e-mail address provided, every step of the way.”

Are you complaining because a price reduction ? lol. Besides the additional hardware, and higher priority, first editions always command a premium and hold there value better.
You are absolutely correct and you are certainly welcome to pay whatever you consider appropriate. However, there are those who measure the value of their purchases and $1,600 was not unreasonable for the FE over the Premium. For me, $3,600 is. (We all know that they are essentially the same vehicle.) I certainly have other places to spend that $2,000 differential. Enjoy.

If I only had the Premium order like I'd originally planned, and they'd never tempted me with Mach Drop, I'd be 100% thrilled at a $3000 savings right now. ?

But they did suck me into an FE with Mach Drop, and now we're psychologically sold on getting an MME in late December (presumably). So cancelling the FE and falling back to the Premium would definitely feel a bit defeatist at this point. Very mixed emotions on this. ?

Talked it over with my partner and he's like "What's the decision? Of course we're getting the FE sooner!". Which is probably what we'll do. I'm the money guy, looking at value and smart purchasing decisions, while he's the "Hell, we have plenty of money, just spend it!" guy. It's just hard for me to turn off that frugal gene.

So I'll just try to ignore that they jacked up the FE option price at the same time they made the Premium a better value. Why is buying a car always a "two steps forward, one step back" ordeal?

I wouldn't stress out to much, your worst case scenario is a 1k savings. I have a premium and actually would like to upgrade to the FE now. Mostly because I really want to claim the tax credit this year.

Good to have that balance between you two. I'll need car towards the end of the year as my daughter gets her license next month. That's why I changed to the FE when I had a chance. With a 60k reservation #, who knows when that would have come in.

Perhaps Ford will throw in some extras for the FE's. Might not be in design, but maybe in perks. One can hope. I was hoping they would change the front motor to something between the Premium and GT.

Going to wait and hear back from my dealer and Ford. My luck will be that I will switch back to the premium, and then due to the outcry, they will match the discount on the FE, and ping pong me back again. $3,600 is a lot of money for some lipstick.

I just messaged Ford Canada to see if they are planning a price drop as well since the salesman at the dealer is unaware of any price drop. I hope we don't get overlooked here

I promise my dealer will NOT contact me about this. I'll have to be proactive and contact him via phone. My emails will be ignored.

I just sent Ford an email as well. We're still far away from delivery day but still I want to know that they are keeping up with the info. I went online and there was no price change on the Canadian site. You'd figure they's apply the rebate world wide since everybody is informed these days.

Especially with EV, but may I suggest waiting a few days before cancelling anything just in case something is not correct.

No, he (and others of us) was originally going to get a Premium. But switched to an FE because it was only $1600 more, and included earlier delivery (we think). Now it's $3600 more than the Premiums we initially decided to get. Thus, problem. The minor differences aren't worth $3600.
Right....essentially we're paying $3600 for the privilege of receiving the car "early"....hopefully before CY2021

I think that is how a lot of us feel. I did send an email today to the [email protected] address to see if they would respond to my question about adding amenities, perks, or performance metrics for the FEs. Pretty easy for them to do for minimal, if any, cost and it would make us feel a lot better.

I wouldn't worry about being overlooked. My guess is that all regions will get a adjustment. The amount will vary so take some time to see those get updated and notices sent out. We in the US get the update first since we are the first batch in production.
